Chambre du Hamel — Hotel in Saint-Omer

Le Chambre du Hamel is easy to find, using GPS, 16km outside St Omer, off the main road in a very quiet village. The room was warm, cosy and quiet. It was easy to get to sleep because as soon as you close the shutter the room is completely dark, perfect to get a good nights sleep after a long journey on the road. The hosts, Christine and Francis are very friendly and excellent hosts. In our limited French we were able to talk about a range of subjects over a cup of tea and a slice of home made apple flan. A good breakfast with home made jams and very fresh bread, was taken in the hosts dining room. An Absolutely beautiful place to stay. The owners Christine and Francis are wonderful hosts and nothing is to much trouble. Very attentive and chatty regardless of the language barrier.
