Château de Romécourt — Hotel in Sarrebourg-Château-Salins

The "domaine de Romecourt", an old fortified farm, has only 2 guest rooms on the first floor (apparently they plan for some more in the future). The rooms are large and equiped with all modern amenities. Bathrooms are very modern and well done, which was a great plus for us. ||||There is a common area (living room + dining table) on the ground floor. The hosts are very warm and welcoming. They took us around the farm for an interesting visit, namely of the little chapel. ||||We had 2 lovely nights there. We initially had booked because of the proximity with the Animal Parc of Sainte-Croix (Parc Animalier de Sainte-Croix). ||The fortified farm is located in the middle of the nature, you have to follow a narrow countryside road between the fields for a few km to reach there (we spotted deers on the way!). You need around 15-20 min to drive to the Animal Parc from the domain.||||Breakfast was very good, with homemade muffins and jams and all the food variety you need. ||||I highly recommend this accommodation, if you want to have a relaxing time and/or visit the animal parc without staying there. Le positif : le petit-déjeuner était très bon, le château magnifique, le calme extraordinaire et les étoiles splendides (car très peu d'éclairage)||||Le gros négatif : on a jamais connu un accueil aussi froid. Déjà au téléphone la femme était désagréable alors que nous prévenions que nous allions arrivé peut-être plus tard que les 21h prévu et la femme fût très agressive avec sa phrase "Ben on vous attendra.. j'espère que ce sera avant minuit" ! Vous rendez-vous compte ? Ensuite nous arrivons sur une route cabossée mais à 20h55 et c'est avec la plus grande froideur que le monsieur nous reçoit et nous décrit très sommairement le lieu (salon, salle à manger et la chambre chauffée mais froide). Le lendemain il s'est rattrapé mais le mal était fait, surtout quand il a osé nous dire qu'il proposait à TOUT LE MONDE de s'installer sur les chaises longues pour admirer les étoiles.
