Rather basic campsite. Dont expect much. Paid 190€ (2 nights) for a relatively new mobile home with 3 bedrooms, deck, kitchen diner and bathroom. Impossible to have decent shower as none of them work in the Alizee mobile homes, all the guests complained. So please please supervise your kids as the water goes from Arctic cold to sahara hot in seconds and I mean hot. Very dangerous. They say that there is space for a baby fold out cot in parents room, well there isnt. If you have a baby / small child then you'll need to either fold down one of the single beds and lose an adult or childs bed or stick your child in the kitchen diner which isnt practical. Anyone claustrophobic or large may have problems with the postage stamp size rooms. The bathroom i did find was of a good size though it lacked hooks for clothes and towels. Do take your pillows and sheets as these are not provided as well as your kitchen teatowels etc ...||We attended a religious JW conference in creil which was only 10 mins ago so that was great not having to travel too far. Do think though next year we'll try the other campsite in st leu because of the terrible shower issue. They also charge a horrendous 40€ per stay , for plugging the fridge in , which the lady did in front of me on arrival and therefore didnt have it decently cold until 24 hrs later. That was a major rip off which I intend on formally complaining about along with the shower problem.||If you like us stay for a night or 2 i'd say its therefore passable but if you plan on staying longing than I'd suggest...
Read moreChose this site as a 2 night stopover on our way south. Relatively easy to find at the edge of the town/village. We contacted the site and we were able to arrive earlier than the set arrival times (we had caught a very early bought over the Channel) so this was really helpful for us.||||We weren't sure what to expect from the site - it is not a "holiday" campsite as such - there's no pool, shop or bar for example - and the area for tent, caravans and motorhomes was smaller than the area for static holiday/residential lets. The site was very quiet at night.||||We borrowed a connection for the EHU as it was a French socket and we only had a European connector. Again, the site was very kind and loaned us the connector. The staff I met were lovely and spoke good English.||||The pitches were grassy, clean and flat with tree cover available. The trees and hedging provided a degree of privacy. Our children liked the table under the shelter in the middle of the camping field (tent, caravans - motorhomes tended to be placed elsewhere).||||There's no shop on site but there is a decent Carrefour Market and an Aldi about 5 mins drive away. The children's play area suited the needs of our 2 kids age 5 and under. There were swings, slide and bouncers.||||The site is approximately 3km from Chantilly and we visited the Chateau on a day trip. Otherwise we didn't really have the opportunity to explore the area. There was a railway station nearby which might be useful for...
Read moreWe have been coming with our caravan for two nights for several years on our way to the south of France. They are lovely large plots. The welcome is friendly and you give us the entry code before we come as we arrive late. The only thing that would improve the site is if the water in the lovely new block could be a little hotter. Otherwise it is a perfect sight and location.
We will definitely come again while we are still fit enough to come abroad with...
