Road Trip Night 2...||Absolutely amazing, This hotel was exactly what we needed, perfect after a long drive. ||Do not judge the exterior like we did; I actually looked at my hubby like sorry but you were with me when we chose it... however once inside we both sighed with relief.||||We had booked the last room through booking.com. Though our room was triple it would have been very comfortable for family of four; beautiful unobstructed lake view perfect with a balcony and privacy... ||clean shower room with hair dryer, a mini bar, tea with kettle, complimentary bottle of water. no coffee :O.||||Beds were comfortable, nice ambient decor. ||We had a perfect room, if we had not already booked our next hotel in Chamonix we would have gladly stayed another few nights... ||Best to have a car as restaurants etc are at quiet a distance... {Halal food in Thonon Le Bains area} 5 mins drive, which we bought back to the hotel and enjoyed on the balcony with the cool summer breeze and twinkling lights on the other side of the lake. ||||Parking available, and you have private access to the lake a mini pebbled beach with boat decking pier.||||N.B.||No Lifts, so travel light, also wheelchair access seemed highly unlikely however we did not ask but they may have some facilities available. ||||Breakfast was extra cost but don't expect a full english and if vegans then definitely not worth paying for a...
Read moreArrived late on the 7th June at the Hotel. Its a hike to get there from the station and up a steep hill. Courteous welcome although room wasnt ready but nicely shown to resteraunt and served a beer. Very consiliatory manager tried his hardest to make me comfortable. With Swiss exchange rates looked for the cheapest on the menu and went for the house Burger. Probably the best burger i have had - stunning and i wasn't expecting it||||Room was clean and habitable. Breakfast buffet style but well done with crisp bacon and excellent croissant. ||||On balance this is not a five star hotel, it was at the lower end of costs for Vevey. It wont win any awards for the Hotels styling or location being slightly of the main tracks but the jewel in the crown food - simple food well done||||Recommended if you expectations are not too high, you are flexible and just like to eat well as this hotel delivers well against these...
Read moreGreat place to stay, has some really rooms, well equipped, amazing views, breakfast included, well worth going for its continental, but great. There isn't any local shops, so if your getting there early you won't be able to eat, or check in until 4pm. There are two local towns, evian is nice, however you can't eat until 7pm, the restaurant du port, only 5 minutes up the road, make sure you book. The staff at the hotel are super helpful, they are friendly too. The road noise is a slight set back, however there are ear plugs provided, and during the night it's not too bad, a small beach opposite the hotel, great for relaxing on. Parking is really easy too, just across from the hotel, this is free, no charge. There is a mini bar in the hotel which is great, few beers, sparkling water, chocolate etc. Great little hotel for an over night stay. Especially as the staff were so friendly, makes...
