Liked: Staff were friendly and helpful. We stayed in a canelle tent which was spotlessly clean and everything you needed was there including fans as it was warm of an evening. The park owners were courteous to all guests and have a night patrol who drives around on an electric scooter ensuring noise is kept to a minimum on site.
You can buy fresh baguette, pan au chocolate and croissant each morning from the on site restaurant.
The food at the on site restaurant is good and great value for children’s meals €13
Toilets were clean with the usual drain smell but at a remote location it’s nothing unusual. There was always toilet roll available also.
There’s a farm shop for fruit and veg next door and a sort of go outdoors place across the road for the kids. There’s a Lidl a short walk away (20-25mins stroll) and a few other shops and cafes on the route.
The evening market in the nearby town is good food and music situated in a market square.
You can get the bus right outside return to Toulon for 6 people was €8 which was great value. You Can also easily get Ubers although an uber XL can be difficult to get.
It was a great site with plenty of entertainment and food options as long as you aren’t eating there every day which was great. Remote enough to be quiet yet close enough to be easily accessible for other locations. The Boulangerie down the road does take away home made ready meals, artisan bread, cheese and meats.
You can make this holiday as cheap or expensive as you want to using the amenities around you.
Disliked: There wasn’t anything to dislike. It’s glamping in a cannelle tent and camping if you bring your own and it’s what you make of it. For a first time glamper with children I...
Read moreThis summer we enjoyed a great holiday at this camp site while travelling together with a couple of families. As in all campsites at the Cote d'Azur, it is highly recommended to book in advance. This is a typical french campsite, and I mean this in a good way. It is a true camp site with mostly good sized places to put up your tent or caravan. It is spacious enough and in a natural setting under pine trees. It only has a couple of mobilhomes. Reception and all staff members are really friendly and hard working. They seem to know what real campers like. Good facilities. Very clean toilets and big showers. We really enjoyed the pool (with slides!), playground and the restaurant. I would recommend the pitches up the hill. The first part of the campsite is closer to the facilities, but has more noise from the road and restaurant. Majority of the campers at this site are french. Lots of people of all nationalities that keep coming back to this site. And we understand why. Ofcourse there are always things that could be better, like the some what dangerous entrance just off a busy road. Or the activities at night at the restaurant a couple of times a week which can be noisy until late at night. Luckily nuisance is limited when you're staying at the back of the site. Compared to the busy and cramped campsites at the coast, this seemed like heaven to us. ||We will...
Read moreThe place was nice, the toilets were clean, access to beaches was good (via car/bike).
However there were a few things that lost it 2 stars. Firstly, the noise during the night was frustrating as there were children still around at 12:30 at night as well as loud music despite the signs that it was quiet time from 11:30pm-8am. The staff were all cliquey and seemed more interested in each other than the guests such as the ‘lifeguard’ having a poolside handstand competition (with what seemed to be other staff members or their own friends) or the ‘lifeguard’ being on their phone. Often they were driving around in buggies/citron amis with each other playing music rather than maintaining the campsite. As English guests I do not feel as though we got the same treatment at the restaurant as other guests who were handed menus when they arrived whereas we were expected to get our own. They were also served before us. The veggie options were limited and had chunks of chicken in the chips. We expected the snack bar to be open all day (as we were told) but whenever we visited it was shut and we didn’t see it open whilst we were there. Other things to note: There was no form of shop on the campsite for essentials. The pitches are on a steep hill that you have to walk or drive up.
With all that being said, we did enjoy...
