Domaine Rocabella — Hotel in Toulon

We just enjoyed the most amazing stay at Rocabella, site of the latest "Downton Abbey" movie, and were given the best room in the main building, La Folie. Our 3 windows were looking down to the long flights of stairs bordered by 2 rows of cypresses leading down to the loveliest creak in the Big Blue. The house is simply grand, with a monumental staircase and beautiful rooms and the accommodations are most modern and comfortable. The garden is a jewel, with all sorts of recesses to enjoy yoga, jaccuzzi, a drink, or an excellent meal prepared by the best cheffe and served on the terrace of your choice. Not to forget, the zen garden with its long pool where you can really swim, and all the nautical possibilities. We enjoyed a wonderful afternoon sailing between Toulon and la presqu'île de Gien, with breathtaking views on this lovely shore. Last, but not least, the staff is particularly caring and smiling, always ready to help and the food is excellent. And the owners are very kind and approachable. Our stay at the Rocabella was incredible. From the staff to the facilities everything was above and beyond. Anytime we wanted anything staff would go out of their way to make sure we had what we needed and made the stay comfortable and easy.

Upon arrival we had plenty of delicious food available for us, which was a theme that continued throughout the stay. The Mediterranean style food was incredibly tasty and I was incredibly full after every meal as I wanted to try everything!

The biggest takeaway from my stay at the Rocabella would have to be the view and the scenery - it is spectacular. I felt like I had a 270 degree view of the coast with access to a beach and paddle boards really completed the experience. (Not to forget playing padel with this view!)

Would definitly recommend to a friend and come back again - had some of the best nights sleeps at...
