First, a couple of minor negatives - by no means a fault of the site, but things that you need to be aware of.||||1. The site is pretty isolated - about 6 miles from the nearest town / supermarket and at least a mile and a half from the nearest bar / restaurant (which is 'sporadic' in its opening hours to say the least). Be prepared to have to drive if you want to get out and about. ||||2. There is not much in the way of facilities on the site. There is no bar / takeaway / restaurant, nor is there much in the way of a site shop, although they did sell baguettes etc. in the morning and the usual ice creams and bottles of cider (no wine though). If you're camping - like we were, be prepared to drive to the supermarkets 20 mins away each day to get food if you're planning to cook on site. I say this not as a negative - we knew this when we booked and it would be unfair of me to judge the site on this basis, but it is perhaps important to those who are thinking of booking.||||Other than these two issues, this is a cracking little site. It was relatively quiet, the pitches were all flat and well kept, electric supplies were reliable and staff were extremely friendly, offered plenty of information about the local area and, most importantly from our perspective, spoke excellent English. Although we camped, the lodges and yurts on site seemed to be in good order and staff were out every day cleaning them. ||||There is a small, heated outdoor pool, which was never overcrowded when we visited, and the toilets, showers and washing areas were immaculate - very obviously cleaned on a number of occasions throughout the day.||||There is quite a bit to do and plenty of places to visit within a relatively short drive (30 mins) of the site, but the coast is maybe 35 miles away (60 min drive), so if you're after a seaside holiday you'll need to be prepared to travel a little.||||Overall, it was a great little holiday, the site offering excellent value for money for what we paid and I would wholeheartedly recommend it, albeit providing you're aware of the location of the site and absence of the usual facilities.||||We had a great 10 nights here. Whether I'd go back again - I'm not sure - but that's nothing at all to do with the site or how it's run. If it could just be moved about 25 miles south it would be just about perfect for us...

Read moreWow what a lucky find. Such a lovely place with incredibly helpful and genuinely welcoming staff. We stopped off here for one night on our way to the ferry. It felt like a waste not to be staying for much longer! Our cabin (gite trappeur) was perfect. Spotlessly clean, comfortable and cosy. Really well equipped. (There seem to be various different cabin types - all of them looked really nice.) The children loved our gîte as did their grandfather.
The heated pool allowed us to spend a lovely morning swimming and playing, despite the chilly weather. Excellent croissants for breakfast. (Possibly the best i had this summer).
I would highly recommend this...
