Flower Camping Le Conleau — Hotel in Vannes

Has potential but we ultimately left disappointed. Great location. Felt that issues were not addressed. Still awaiting correspondence that was promised. We were overcharged by €73 from original internet confirmation. This was acknowledged by staff during stay with email evidence. I am still awaiting any action regarding this. Fridge package was requested but our pitch was too far from electrics even with extension lead to use. Refund was offered. I am still awaiting this. On our second night noisy aggressive behaviour occurred by our pitch near the front entrance. It is still not clear whether people came on to the site or if they were staying. There was some minor damage and mess the following morning to toilet block. Staff acknowledged this the next morning. We had a restless night (as with young children). Requested to leave early. Manager said would like to refund for remaining 2 nights but as a large chain wasn’t sure if she could. (Minor point but our pitched was rented out by the time we packed up so no loss of earnings). Still awaiting any correspondence despite several emails to company and manager. The site has real potential. Several staff were lovely and helpful. Manager seemed genuine and thoughtful. Location is great for cycling into Vannes and the saltwater pool nearby is fantastic. However, be mindful of which pitch you get (41 was far too noisy - I would aim for furthest right area on entry). On-site swimming pool was not clean, limited toilets, showers etc for the number of guests in peak season and site lacks a personal touch. Play park was so basic. A few unruly youths on site unchallenged. For us the campsite became only a base rather than a pleasant space to enjoy undoubtedly hampered by average facilities (for the 4* badge) and the issues we experienced which weren’t dealt with from day one. Open for a possible return (assuming the issues are addressed as there is more nearby to explore) with considerably lower expectations. Have stayed at far nicer 2* sites. UPDATE: REFUND WAS PROCESSED AND PROVIDED with correspondence from the manager....

I WOULD NEVER EVER RECOMMEND THIS SITE IT WAS DIRTY AND UNCLEAN AND THE STAFF WERE RUDE. Arrived at site. However when we got to our pitch, it was very uneven, even with wedges. The pitches were very small, we had a small caravan but people with motorhomes really struggled for room. We arrived on a Friday around 4pm and from that time till gone 10.30pm the entertainment was so loud with African drums, you couldn't hear each other speak. Luckily no more entertainment for the length of our stay. During throughout our stay the facilities (toilet and shower block) was not cleaned by the campsite , it was filthy, therr was faeces all over the Adult toilets for the three days we were there and the showers were black with dirt and grime. We spoke to a staff member to ask where we empty our waste water to which she replied well she never spoke she looked at us and just pointed at a map. I found the lady rude and not very helpful. This campsite seemed to be run by young students. The noise levels were not monitored and therefore if you wanted to go to sleep it was not until midnight gone that the noise levels stopped. I expected better from a big company. I would not recommend this campsite and would never return, there are far better Campsites five...

We stayed on this site 2/9/2017. It all got off to a very unfortunate start when we were assigned a pitch that was already occupied. When I returned to the office we were then allocated a different pitch close to reception. We were kept awake for most of the night by the occupants of the wooden chalet to the right of our pitch (215) who proceeded with an outdoor social gathering that woke us sometime after 1:00 am. There was loud cork popping laughing and shouting with no attempt to keep the sounds to a reasonable level. After 30 minutes I ventured out to the sanitation and asked them politely in French what the time was, and they answered in English 1:30 am. This did not seem to adjust their behavior. After half an hour I finally managed to sleep only to be woken again with the same level of noise some hours later. I mentioned this to a member of staff when we checked out and she assured me she would speak to the occupants of the chalet and directed me to the sites emergency number. I mentioned that we didn't bother with this at the time as we didn't consider it a real emergency and we suspected the occupants of the chalet were actually the sites staff as evidenced by a company van...
