Liked: The campsite manager was very friendly and helpful, as were all staff. The pool was clean and pleasant as was the pool area. The safari tent was comfortable and clean, with sufficient kitchen equipment, fridge with little freezer. There was a little market (two vans) that came on one of the days, which was nice. The bouncy castle for the kids was a nice touch. Fresh baked goods can be ordered for the next morning (other than for Monday morning as the bakery is closed). It is a pleasant rural campsite (with very few British - which is nice). We felt very much like we were in proper France. Lots of water points, so easy access to drinking water.
Disliked: The toilets, although they are cleaned frequently, are quite basic and the floors got quite dirty - though the site provide a hose and mop for users to clean, so fellow users are more to blame than the campsite. The showers weren't very powerful, but were sufficient to clean. The lights are on a timer/sensor, so turn off half way through washing up and you have to dance to turn them on again, but it's better for the environment and reduces...

Lovely pool area and clean pool with lots of sunloungers.
Not far from toilet and shower block. Really good disabled shower room which was very needed. Generally very clean for a camp site.
Great big area to walk the dog, off lead in places, right next door to site.
Washing and drying facilities clean.
Lovely staff.
Beautiful location, very quiet, village less than 10 min walk away with bakery, butcher and a shop/bar. Nearest bigger town a 10 min drive away with supermarkets. Lyon about 45 min drive away.
Disliked: Main toilet and shower block pretty basic. May be in need of a bit of a refurb. No way of drying hands after washing them. Lights in block going out too soon which both daughter's found frustrating at times.
Did become annoying when other guests without disabilities were using the disabled facitilies, forcing me to wait to even...
Read moreThe real charm? The relaxed atmosphere—think chirping birds instead of honking cars, starry skies instead of city lights. If you’re used to glamping, this is more "rustic chic"—bring your own sleeping bags and prepare for the occasional chilly night. Wi-Fi is spotty, but hey, you’re here to disconnect, non? Overall, a solid choice for budget-friendly, no-fuss camping with a side of pastoral tranquility. Just don’t expect room service. 3.5/5 stars—would camp...
