We had a lovely reception by the owners of this lovely house situated in a quiet village in Beaujolais. It is family run and just been taken over I believe. The building is amazing and the room we stayed in has one of the most comfortable beds we have stayed in. We stayed in this lovely Château for a night when driving from the alps to exzebrugge to get the ferry back home. The couple who own the chateau were extremely hospitable and couldn’t be more friendly and helpful. There was a lovely swimming pool. We had the home cooked fantastic 4 course dinner on the terrace which was very good value for 25 euros including really good wine. Whilst the host greeting was warm on arriving later than we had anticipated, things seem to go down hill from then on. The whole place seemed to be very tired and honestly needed a good makeover. The dining area was soulless, and when our host came to the table and "blonked" a carton of milk on it, it seemed there was no pride.
