Camping Huttopia Vallée du Lot — Hotel in Villeneuve-sur-Lot

We've been going to the site for the last 9 years towards the end of August for 2 weeks in our own tent. We saw the site go downhill with the previous owners but now Geraldine and her husband have worked very very hard to make this one of the best sites in France in our opinion.||The facilities are always spotless - showers, toilets, washing up/laundry areas.||The site is beautifully set with woodlands, a lake with a clean white sandy beach, bar/restaurant. Theres also a wood cabin/bar by the lake with seating out over the water for informal food/drinks in the evenings i.e moulds frites and pizza nights. The pool area has a converted bus for a bar & snacks, ices etc and a large seating area. The pool itself has a wooden deck with sun loungers and parasols and a separate children's pool.||We always camp in the Zen field, there are some shaded pitches for later in the day, some are in full sun. Cars can be driven to the pitches to unload/pitch tents/trailers, caravans but then have to be parked in the nearby parking area - makes for a very quiet and relaxing area. Theres a huge open field in the middle of the Zen, the pitches are around the outside and are very large. Some pitches have a wood hut with gas hob, electrics and sun loungers, wooden table/bench/parasol included. There are also some Karma tents to hire.||The camping area by the lake/pool has lots of shaded pitches amongst the trees and one of the shower blocks is in the middle. Large shower cubicles.||The glamping area in the woods is amazing - the Lodges are glamping luxury! Its all shabby chic and great for families. ||Geraldine and her husband work tirelessly to create a lovely relaxed and welcoming atmosphere at La Parenthèse - they have succeeded in making this one of the best sites we have ever stayed at in...

We usually do a bit of a road trip and a villa, but this year we wanted to stay in one place.||La Parenthèse is everything I’d hoped for and more. The site is extensive enough not to get bored, but very far removed from something like Eurocamp. There are plenty of extra activities (yoga, painting, tennis, pony riding) and there is a KIDS CLUB! Parents, you get TWO hours almost every morning of the week to yourselves and it’s no extra cost. We would have loved kids club to continue in the last week of our stay, maybe next year?!||The pool is lovely, great size and you can buy beer/wine and snacks from the cool bus. Here, you can also order your bread and croissants for the next morning.||The lake is also amazing. The moules frites evening is great for the kids but many more evenings groups would gather and let the children play in the ‘wooden shop’ whilst the adults soaked up the atmosphere and their rose!||The vibe is a nice mix of British, Dutch and French. We met so many people that had visited one year and had come for their second or in one case seventh, with friends or family. ||It’s a place you won’t regret or forget. Thanks...

If you are looking for a chic french camping/glamping experience for the family I would highly recommend visiting Cleméntine at her lovely campsite.||This campsite is full of beautiful memories. From swinging carelessly in the hammocks on the hill whilst reading a book in the afternoon sun, to taking a dip in the decked pool and ordering food & drink from the rustic converted snack bus, or eating pizza on the man made beach at night drinking local wine while you watch your kids poke sticks into the bonfire....this place has it all.||Clementine and her team are so lovely and approachable. She was quick to recommend some day trips out exploring the rest of the Dordogne. We loved driving to quaint picturesque French village after village eating local produce and sampling wine, based off her recommendations.||To top off the trip we had our final meal at the onsite restaurant and were blown away by the quality of the food and atmosphere. We loved sitting watching the sun set whilst are kids played in playground next to us...but far enough away at the same time!! ||Would we go back....try and stop us!!!...
