Excellent campsite where they have thought of everything to make your stay enjoyable. All pitches are large, and have 6, 10 or 16 amp electricity depending on your preference, many are seperated by hedges giving you privacy and there are also bench/table seats supplied which is a godsend for those camping in tents or campervans. Now, for you ladies: The showers are lovely and luxurious with adjustable heat and none of those awful push buttons.. Hot water is plentiful no matter what time of day you use them. Each shower has it's own stool, and 5 or was it 6, hanging pegs on the back of the door, a shower tray for your shower gel, shampoo etc and attached to this are 2 hooks to hang your flannels or whatever.. .. really useful! Little touches like these make all the difference when using campsite showers so well done to the owners. Most campsites I've stayed in have had one or two pegs if you are lucky! The toilets are immaculate with toilet seats (not always suppied) and a plentiful supply of toilet paper. There are square, butler-type sinks to wash and a long shelf to do your make-up, dry your hair ir whatever (haIrdryer is also supplied). There is if course a disabled persons shower room and toilet. (My husband confirms that the gents showers/toilets are also as luxurious) There is a cosy lounge area where you can have a game of pool or darts. Cosy seats with small tables where you can sit and read, play dominos or games. There is the largest supply of reading books I have seen anywhere. There is also a washing machine and tumble dryer, both charged at €3 euros each, paid via an honesty box. (You can buy a washing tablet at 50c.) Outside in a covered barn area, you will also find a table tennis table and benches/seats to sut and relax. The pretty courtyard restaurant and bar area has seating inside and out with a delicious but simple menu. There are endless pretty walks for you and your 4-legged friend directly from the campsite. No roads to worry about which is wonderful. You are in easy reach of all the D-Day landing beaches, museams, Chateaux and many other things to visit. I'm sure I have missed things out but I hope this is helpful! We loved our stay. We were booked for one week but ended staying two as it was so tranquil and enjoyable. Thank you guys for making our stay...

The campsite is located in a pretty picturesque village in Normandy approximately five hours from the channel tunnel but easier access via ferry ports.
Our plot was a B grade and it has its own water supply and electric. The pitch has a slight slope but we were prepared with our levelling chocks and did not impact on our stay. The pitch allowed us to erect our Coleman XL driveway awning and VW camper (just to check sizes) and still plenty of room to sit out the front or even put another car or little tent.
The staff are friendly who are fluent in French and English. Reception has tourist information and a selection of beers, ciders and wines.Sweets and ice cream for the children plus some basic essentials.
On site food is offered with choice of burgers, hotdogs or fish all served with chips. There are chicken strips for those with a smaller apetite. I recommend the Normandie burger. Friday is BBQ night and well worth planning for.
The facilities are there for all to use a microwave, hot plate, fridge freezer. TV room with a selection of games to be played pool or table football. Outside is table tennis. WiFi on site is amazing and as I type this away from reception I have two bars out of three coverage. With three teenagers no issues identified with the WiFi so speaks for itself.
Only minor criticism is the number of washing up sinks- there are two sinks , which are covered and within a lovely traditional stone structure.- With the water points, maybe a future consideration would be for washing up points in the zones but it would not stop us returning this is minor.
The showers and other facilities are clean and fresh with a modern feel. There is even a hairdryer for the metrosexual male!
A short walk and you in the lovely village - it felt a mainly flat walk but it is a very slight incline. Along the way you can see buildings and historic photographs are matched to them showing WW2 views to today. A small shop that’s sells milk and bread and a choice of butcher’s.
Overall This is a gem of a site that puts others to shame in terms of service and a great place to base yourself to visit the historic rich area...
Read moreI always review in the same way..as the Italians say "A fish rots from the head" and so the campsite owners are the most important part. When you're on a campsite it becomes your home, and if you're not made welcome it is immediately a buzz kill. Stephen does front of house and couldn't be nicer or more welcoming, goes the extra mile to be helpful and informative. 10/10
Second comes pitches. These are grass but superbly drained, large with lots of privacy. You will need leveling ramps but the slope isn't excessive. The top two grades (C/D) pitches have water and drainage so fully serviced
Third Showers and toilets Spot on, spotlessly clean, endless hot water with adjustable temperature, lever not button. Paper in the loos. May be a bit cold in winter as I couldn't see heating but with serviced pitches we would use our own.
4th Value : €25 per night out of season for this is very reasonable. This is for a luxury pitch, there are cheaper (B) with 6A electric. and even cheaper camping pitches
The ancillaries
Accessibility - easy. Decent roads the whole way
Dog walking- Pretty good with open fields and a sheltered and shaded track. Can't fault it but bear in mind it is Normandy farm land so you don't get miles of footpaths.
Cycling. - MTB not the best but it is a roadies paradise, superbly surfaced D roads and zero traffic
Restaurant - Excellent. It is mainly burgers with the odd special but they are mouth watering and inexpensive, with desserts to die for. Drinks are not rip off prices and the setting and service are charming. I've seen criticism of the menu but come on, if you want fine dining you're in France, hit the local bistros.
Extras There is a well appointed games / reading room and also a covered barn with benches for campers to dine of required The site also does storage
Finally location.. Next to a nice little village with cheap diesel, butchers and bakers, a small supermarket all the essentials are available. There is plenty of local history but the beaches are a 30 mile drive each way .
All in all a great campsite that I can't find anything negative about and a whole lot of positives. A real gem and one I would...
