Le Petit Clos — Hotel in Vire

We were a family of 5 cycling on Tour de Manche and stayed for this me night after a long day’s cycle.|Upon arrival the owner quickly showed us the room, told us we were unable to use the other facilities (kitchen area etc) and then rapidly moved on to asking for cash payment. |The room was not great at all - v squeaky beds, the bed my son slept on collapsed during the night, one of the other beds squeaked so much it disrupted everyone’s sleep. The daughter was helpful in arranging taxis in and out of town for dinner. Other than that very inhospitable and ungenerous in every way.||The owner stood watching the whole time during breakfast waiting for us to leave, similar experience to other reviews. The breakfast itself consisted of sour fizzy fruit juice, rotting fruit, bread and hot drinks. We left to eat in town to get another breakfast.||Wouldn’t recommend at all to anyone, find somewhere else as is not relaxing, poor hospitality and overall...

We were warmly welocomed and shown to a really lovely, modern bedroom in a well-converted outbuilding. We had a lovely bathroom (shower but no bathtub) ensuite. The bedroom and bathroom were well-furnished and immaculately clean, with most of the desired amenities. The double bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was continental, with beautiful bread and croissants and delicious confitures. A selection of fruit and yoghurts was available, along with orange juice and a choice of hot drinks. We had access to a loung area with a pool table - very relaxing. There was ample private parking within the gated courtyard of the property and we were given an electronic control for the gates so that we coulod go and come at our own convenience.||||We found this B & B excellent value for money and recommend it highly. Plus, although situated in countryside, it is only a few minutes from the town...

Nous avions l’habitude de louer plusieurs chambres régulièrement et nous avons toujours été bien accueillis.||L’espace commun était des plus agréables, nous avions avec la location des chambres un accès à la salle commune avec télévision, billard, cuisine où nous pouvions faire du café (en apportant nos provisions bien sûr), et il en a été ainsi les fois précédentes... Cette fois était sans doute celle de trop ! ||Cette fois-ci nous avons loué l’intégralité des chambres du gîte, la propriétaire nous a appelé 2 jours avant pour nous informer de manière très peu aimable que le prix n’était pas réglé alors que cela avait bien été fait ! ||Ensuite l’accès aux pièces communes est conditionné au fait de louer « tout le gîte » : soit l’intégralité des chambres + 100€ pour disposer du salon ! Et à ce prix il n’y a pas le petit déjeuner. ||A cela s’ajoute la présence malaisante du propriétaire les bras croisés pendant le petit déjeuner qui attend que nous ayons terminé... sans même nous donner un mot ! ||La propreté de la salle de bain laisse à désirer : dentifrice séché sur le mur, douche pleine de calcaire. De plus un lit grince tellement qu’il est impossible de dormir... ||Comble de la mesquinerie, certaines prises électriques sont « désactivées » pour éviter que l’on se serve du café 😱||Nous avons été jetés de la maison très tôt le matin puisque nous n’avions ps loué les chaises du salon... ||Nous...
