Klostermühle Siebenborn — Hotel in Bernkastel-Kues

We arrived at this hotel to be greeted by Thomas and quickly given our keys to the rooms. Rooms are furnished with lovely antique furniture plus rooms are well sized. Our group then had a light lunch which was all freshly prepared with seasonal produce direct from the garden. The restaurant has a lovely outside eating area with a small river running along the side so tranquil. We had dinner outside at night a beautiful choice of special dishes we all opted for schnitzel with a wine and mushroom sauce wow we were not disappointed delicious. Our breakfast the next morning was a great variety of cheeses and cold meats along with hard boiled eggs jams and rolls plenty for everyone. We ate again on our second and last night there all enjoying various dishes along with salad which comes directly from the garden beside the restaurant. This hotel is an ideal place to get away from it all.||The service was great and we felt right at home. Petra and Thomas were excellent hosts and we had so many laughs with them. Our group of 8 thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. We were welcomed by Thomas and shown quickly to our rooms located upstairs by the building next to the restaurant. Good sized rooms furnished with antique furniture all rooms very clean. Eating was fantastic fresh produce and not a complicated menu with too many choices we enjoyed several dishes thoroughly recommend the schnitzel wine handler. Vegetables and salads come direct from the garden beside the outside eating area which has a lovely small river running alongside the restaurant. Breakfast was great a nice variety of rolls,cold meats, cheeses,jams,orange juice,hard boiled egg. Das Hotel kann ich nicht bewerten da wir mit 4 Personen nur zum Essen im Restaurant waren. Vorweg: Das Ambiente und die Lage des Lokals sind sehr ansprechend, das Essen war sehr gut. Leider wurden wir durch den Chef des Hauses sehr unfreundlich in Empfang genommen. Da wir nicht reserviert hatten wurden wir nicht an unserem gewünschten Tisch plaziert. Der Gastraum war zu der Zeit (17.30) mit 2 Gästen besetzt. Im Laufe des Abends kamen 2 weitere Paare hinzu. Keines hatte reserviert. Wie sich herausstellte, bestand auch für den uns verweigerten Platz keine Reservierung. Wir wurden im Laufe des Abends sowohl durch den Chef, als auch durch seinen sehr freundlichen Sohn bedient. Unserem Wunsch nach der Rechnung wurde kommentarlos mit dem auf den Tisch geworfenen Kassenbon entsprochen. Keine Frage ob wir getrennt oder zusammen bezahlen wollten. Bei dem Versuch die Rechnungsbeträge selbst aufzuteilen stellten wir fest, das der Nachtisch im Wert von 19,90 Euro nicht berechnet war. Unser Hinweis an den Chef wurde kommentarlos zur Kenntnis genommen und eine korrigierte getrennte Abrechnung vorgenommen. Nachdem ich für ein Paar den Rechnungsanteil in bar beglichen hatte wollte das andere Paar seinen Anteil mit Karte bezahlen. Sie wurden sehr unfreundlich darauf hingewiesen, das dies nicht möglich wäre. Er hätte den Gesamtbetrag ja schließlich bar eingegeben.
