We came here only for a day between city tours in Berlin and Dresden and thoroughly enjoyed the whole laid back experience. The first thing one notices here is the absolute and awesome quiet. We shared our two bedroom suite with good friends but could imagine the accommodations being perfect for a family. The highlight of our stay was a “Kahn” ride on the canals in the area powered by Mr. Urban, the hotel owner. His quiet manner and life-long love of this area shine through as he poles what amounts to a small pub under the dappled green shade on a peaceful summer day. We had lunch at a stop along the way. This is a very quaint family run hotel based in a refurbished farm house. The owner made a strong effort to help us with all of our needs and to generally be helpful. Breakfast is very cute and varied. Room was clean and sufficient.|It would be much easier to stay here if you speak German but we got along with the help of Marianna, one of the staff people, who spoke English well.|In the summer, there are quite a few wasps at this property so be aware if you have sensitivity. Eigentlich hätte es ein schöner Paddeltag werden sollen. Allerdings möchte ich jeden warnen, der hier etwas mietet: wenn Euch etwas kaputt gehen sollte, auf keinen Fall sich dem Druck des Herrn Vermieters beugen, sofort alles bar zu zahlen. Hinterlasst Eure Daten, verlangt Euren Pfand, ruft Eure Haftpflichtversicherung (oder ggf Rechtsschutz;) ) an oder ruft zur Klärung die Polizei. Lasst Euch nur nicht unter Druck setzen und klärt den Schaden professionell.

Ergänzung aufgrund des Kommentars von Hr Urban: Ich habe nicht ohne Grund darauf hingewiesen, dass kein Kunde sich dem Druck von Herrn Urban beugen sollte. Das Amtsgericht Cottbus (Aktenzeichen des Gerichts: 38 C 206/20) hat am 11.05.21 ein Anerkenntnisurteil gesprochen. Es wurden mir 50€ Rückzahlung und 6/7 der gesamten Kosten des Rechtsstreites zugesprochen. In einem Satz: das, was Hr Urban -völlig überzogen- bar unter höchstem Druck erpresst hatte, wurde zum großen Teil durch das Gericht mir zugesprochen. Leute, lasst Euch auf keinen Fall unter Druck setzen! Wenn Euch der geforderte Betrag zu hoch vorkommt: hinterlasst dem Herrn Eure Daten, Eure Versichertennummer, aber AUF KEINEN FALL der Barforderung überrumpelt nachkommen.
