A good and well-maintained hotel. There was renovation work going on during our stay. But this was neatly taken into account when allocating the room. So no inconvenience experienced. The bar is open 24 hours and operates on a trust basis. Grab your own drink, wine, beer, nibbles or even a soup and write it down on the list that comes with it. You can get unlimited coffee and tea and these are free. Neat large lobby/lounge/bar where you can also have food from nearby restaurants delivered. Hotel does not have its own hot kitchen. Plenty of options for charging laptops and telephones (USB connections) available. Both in the room and in the lounge. Breakfast includes a wide choice of sandwiches and spreads. All this from a local butcher and baker. Buying locally is promoted. Wifi is available everywhere and fast. You don't need a key. During check-in you can create a personal PIN that serves as the key to the room and front door. Staff are very friendly and helpful. The room is spacious and clean. Ditto for the bathroom. The bed was a good box spring that did not sag. Free parking is available everywhere nearby. In short, this hotel is highly recommended. Obviously not so impersonal hotel from some big commercial...
Read moreStayed here spontaneously on a bike trip across Germany and Holland. It was late, pitch black and raining and we were in the middle of nowhere. This was the closest hotel to us (45min ride) and we called up to reserve a room. They had one room left with a single bed and set up a second sleeping bed on the floor. A key was left out for us in the lockbox, so we could let ourselves into the room when we arrived. We sorted out the bill and credit card details in the morning over the most DELIGHTFUL breakfast buffet, with fresh scrambled eggs and a wonderful selection of fresh breads, meats, cheeses and jams. Steaming hot coffee waiting at the table, and a wonderful selection of tea and juices. Best value and highest quality hotel breakfast we’ve enjoyed in a lot of travels! Highly recommended for those passing through the area....
