We stayed here for two nights when we took our kids & nieces around Europe. It was a last minute find and turned out to be one of the best places we stayed at.||||Fantastic views down towards the mountains, the property is on the edge of the village and you almost feel you are completely alone.||||Lovely and quiet - the accomodation is clean and airy. I took most of the family off to Dachau in the car whilst my wife stayed at the B&B as she was so relaxed there.||||The village is small - with a fantastic pub within walking distance - the local geese greeted us enthusiastically as we walked there!||||The train line into Munich is a long-ish walk - or just a couple of minutes by car and makes for a pleasant way of getting into or our of the city rather than struggling with traffic.||||Only negative we had was we had planned on going to Octoberfest - but we picked the wrong day. It was so crowded it took us 30 minutes to get off the train platform! So we gave up, went into the city centre and had a fabulous meal at an genuine Bavarian Beerhall before heading back to Icking &...

The shared bathroom is huge, and we appreciated the fact that the host scheduled guest "shower time" so we all knew who would be using it at what time. (Plus, there is an extra toilet downstairs, just in case!) Another great part of the our all-too-short visit was the breakfast. Homemade bread and jam, fruit salad, coffee, tea, juice, and other assorted meats and cheeses for non-vegans--and a view of the mountains across the valley. A peaceful place to rest and a wonderful, welcoming host--I think that's what a B&B...
Read moreThis house has a lovely situation, in being at the edge of the village and open to the fields, but still only a short walk from the train station. Ulrike was very friendly and accommodating and made us feel very personally welcome. There is a good mixture of privacy and having one's own space but also a pleasant sense of community in the way the place is shared with the other guests. The breakfast was incredibly generous and delicious, and to be enjoyed in a cosy kitchen with the chance to interact with the other guests. Recommended for a friendly experience, that leaves the hear warm vis-à-vis staying at commercial...
