Radlerhof Spreewald — Hotel in Kolkwitz

The Good:||It was inexpensive and well situated for our short stay.||The owner was very friendly and very helpful.||The entire complex was very clean and had a fully equipped kitchen downstairs in the communal area.||It also had a decent games room with a pool table and table tennis and tv. The beds were clean and comfortable as was the rest of the Pension.||Had this been all I would have given this Pension a Very good score.||The Bad:||Unfortunately for us we were the only travelers in the building, surrounded by gangs of Polish workers doing very odd hours, some of them sharing up to 6 in a room!||We know this because we could see all of their shoes left outside the rooms and the loud noises that went on throughout the night like beds being moved constantly or a room being stripped down.||Thanks to this it reminded me of the film the 'Hostel'.||The showers were cold, probably because all of the hot water had been sapped by our neighbors.||Having no window in the room, just a small skylight made for a very claustrophobic stay.Verdict is NEVER AGAIN and I hope this review can save somebody else from...

Clean (Pension???) rooms. Looks like recently renovated. Free parking. The ground floor is the reception office and self service kitchen with dining room including stove top some kitchen dinnerware and Cooking utensils. Free coffee.||Each room get a mini bar refrigirator that is located in the ground floor dining room.||The second floor have shared toilets and showers for all guests, separated for men and women. Also there is big room that have a pool and ping pong tables. ||Rooms are located in the 3'rd floor. i.e when toilet needed you must go down one floor. Room have 2 beds cabinet and chairs with small table. TV is in room.||There is a skylight window or 2 depending on the room size, located high above . Need to use long operating pols to open it. No wall windows.||No elevator. No air condition.||No Soap. No hair shampoo, Towels need to be rented for additional fee, And you better rent it before the owner leave the place around 18:00. Once we figured out there are no towels, we failed to explain what we need over the phone. Owner does not...

Ich habe im August eine Nacht im Radlerhof in Krieschow verbracht. Allein die Buchung per Telefon war schon sehr komisch. Ich wurde nach nichts gefragt, keine Adresse, Telefonnummer etc., lediglich der Tag der Ankunft und die Anzahl der Nächte wurde abgefragt. ||Bei der Ankunft hatten glücklicherweise schon Freunde von mir den Schlüssel besorgt, sonst hätte ich den Vermieter anrufen müssen.||Das Zimmer war sehr klein und hatte ein Dachfenster, welches man nur mithilfe einer Stange öffnen konnte, da die Decke sehr hoch war. Ein Fernseher war vorhanden, allerdings nur mit 4 Sendern. Ein bisschen dürftig. Ein Schrank, zwei Betten und ein kleiner Nachttisch komplettierten die Ausstattung. Die Wänden waren voll mit totgeschlagenen Mücken. Nicht besonders ansehlich. Die Betten waren eindeutig zu weich, aber das empfindet auch jeder anders. Duschen und Toiletten befanden sich eine Etage tiefer und waren sauber. Was mich jedoch bei den Duschen störte .... die Duschwände waren aus Glas, so dass man seinen Gegenüber, wenn denn einer da gewesen wäre, beim Duschen hätte zugucken können. Nicht mein Fall. ||||Was mir noch fehlte, war eine gewisse Sicherheit. Die Türen waren nur mit einfachen Schlüsseln zuzuschließen und waren auch keine Fluchttüren, denn das Zimmer musste ich am Abend von innen zuschließen, damit von außen keiner herein kommt. Aber ich war glaube ich, die einzige, die in dieser Nacht dort schlief. ||||Alles in allem gibt es in der Gegend sicherlich schönere und bessere Unterkünfte. Für eine Nacht...
