We stayed at Hilpertenhof for a few nights during our trip to the Black Forest, and it was truly amazing. The accommodation was spotless, fully equipped with everything we needed, and surrounded by the most beautiful views.

The hosts were absolutely perfect—warm, helpful, and made us feel so welcome. The farm is an active dairy cattle farm, and they let the kids participate in taking care of the cows, including feeding the calves. They explained everything so nicely about the cows and the barn, and our kids loved it! They actually asked to come back every day to help again.

We had an excellent stay with our 3-year-old daughter. She loved the playground and the daily ‘working-hour’ on the farm (this was also ‘adult-friendly’). The fresh milk and the bakery-service created easy and tasteful mornings. The apartment is very user friendly, everything is there. All rooms are superclean, with a breathtaking view from a large balcony. The hosts paid attention to all details, also for the children (rooms, safety, toys, daily trip tip,...) and were very helpful. The family is very hospitable. Wir (Ehepaar 50+ ohne mitreisende Kinder) waren im Juni eine Woche zu Gast im Hilpertenhof in der Wohnung Glasbläser. Wir hatten gaaanz leichte Bedenken, weil das Gästehaus eigentlich auf Familien mit Kindern ausgelegt ist. Die hatten z.B. mit der Stallzeit auf jeden Fall ihren Spaß! Wir aber auch, die Bedenken wurden komplett zerstreut. Absolute Ruhe abends und nachts, morgens hört man die Kinder dann doch mal poltern, war uns aber egal. Die Wohnung hat einen großen überdachten Balkon "hinten raus" zu den Weiden. Topmodern und recht edel ausgestattet, z.B. Induktionsherd, sehr praktisch, wenn man die kostenlose Milch direkt vom Hof aufkocht. Da geht schon mal was daneben und ist dann schnell gereinigt. Tolles Bad mit ebenerdiger Dusche. Der Brötchenservice und der tägliche Liter Milch kommt noch on top drauf. Weiterer Pluspunkt: das Fliegengitter im etwas kleinen, aber ausreichenden Schlafzimmer. Der Empfang durch Susan war sehr herzlich und sie stand auch sonst immer für Fragen zur Verfügung. Woran man sich gewöhnen musste, waren die Kuhglocken Tag und Nacht von der Weide vom Hang gegenüber. Kein "Lärm" für uns, war Allgäu-Feeling. Wir hatten eBikes dabei, die konnten wir sicher unterstellen. Wir empfehlen den Hilpertenhof gerne weiter, auch für ältere Semester.

Noch zwei Tipps: Der Brauereigasthof Rogg in Lenzkirch hat uns sehr gefallen. Gute, bodenständige Gerichte zum vernünftigen Preis und ein spitzen Bier. Und wer baden gehen will, unbedingt das hippe Strandbad am Windgfällweiher in der Nähe ausprobieren. Eintritt ist in der Gästekarte enthalten.
