Hotel Lohmann — Hotel in Münster

Clean and cozy! I personally prefer the small family run businesses, which is also the case here. Was very happy about the authenticity, friendly staff and the little details like beautiful self made decoration and good breakfast :) truly enjoyed my stay. The reception reminded me of my father actually :P if you are friendly to him, he will be friendly to you. I observed how a guest was totally rude and in the wrong. The owner told him that the guest is not allowed to take his bike into the room, and then the guest called him names and threatened him with bad reviews. Yet, the owner stayed calm and said that he would like to finish his sentence which was about offering a bike storage room that would be locked. When the guest still acted very aggressive towards him, the owner then (still very calm) asked him to check out. I completely sympathesized with the owner. Only because you are a paying guest doesn't give you the right to act like you own the place or don't treat others with respect.

If you are looking to stay in Munster for a few days, the Hotel Lohmann is an excellent place for a comfortable and affordable stay. The neighborhood features a Greek restaurant called Poseidon that has excellent drinks and food. The owner of the hotel is very nice and his wife and him run a tight ship. The rooms are clean and tidy. Their dog Cinto offers some comedy as he is quite the character. We took the #10 bus into town most days but you can also rent bikes at the Radstation by the train station to use during your stay if you want to ride bikes rather than take public transit. Also, there is a lake up the street that is just awesome. Wonderful landscapes and access to the water. And, if you have a chance to visit the Botanical Gardens behind the Schloss, do it for sure. Wir waren im Hotel Lohmann nur eine anstatt der gebuchten zwei Nächten! Es sei so viel vorweggenommen, ich kann die andere gute Bewertung des Hotels NICHT nachvollziehen.

Das Hotel ist von einer Baustelle umgeben. In unserem Fall ist das lediglich unansehnlich gewesen, da auf der Baustelle nicht gebaut wurde. Somit keine Lärmbelästigung durch diese. Dafür haben die anderen Gäste dafür gesorgt, dass ein ausschlafen nicht möglich war. Die Türen sind gefühlt fingerdick und lassen einen Anteil haben wenn sich Menschen auf dem Flur unterhalten. Das Badezimmer war dreckig und es schimmelte an der einen oder anderen Ecke. Das Zimmer war beengt und hat keine Ähnlichkeit mit dem Foto auf der Internetseite. Die Lampe im Flur fungiert als Friedhof für Insekten und die Aussage des Besitzers, ob denn das versprochene W-Lan auch in meinem Zimmer erreichbar wäre, das gibt es nicht dann haben Sie keine Ahnung, war kein Stück hilfreich und brachte mir kein nutzbares W-Lan im Zimmer. Das Hotel kann man nur mit Frühstück buchen. Anfangs ging ich noch davon aus, dass wir ausschlafen können, so dass ich ihn bat auch ohne Frühstück zu buchen. Er sagte dann ziehe ich 10 Euro von der Gesamtsumme ab. Das war freundlich, wie ich fand. Aus dem ausschlafen wurde ja nichts und so durfte ich mir das Frühstück im Keller des Hauses ansehen. Bin ich froh, dass wir an diesem nicht teilgenommen haben. Ein weiterer Gast, welcher am Frühstück teilnahm meckerte auf dem Weg zu seinem Auto über das Frühstück und unterstrich meine Freude an einer nicht Teilnahme. Ein „Gutes“ hatte die Unterbringung aber, man hatte das Gefühl im Big Brother Haus zu wohnen. Überall waren Nachtsichtkameras angebracht und wurden direkt in die „Rezeption“ des Hotels übertragen, ein weiterer Raum, welcher eigentlich ein Aushängeschild darstellen sollte, der jedoch unordentlich und dreckig anmutete.

Alles in allem war das Hotel Lohmann möglicherweise mal gut als es die Lohmanns selbst noch bewirteten. Mit Herrn Jaskulla ist es lieblos, dreckig und aus meiner Sicht völlig unzureichend geführt.
