Residenzia Hotel Grenadier — Hotel in Munster

On arrival we were given a key to our room and to the front door, pointed towards the town centre 'if you wish to eat' and admonished to make sure to lock the front door if we came back after 9pm. Found the room - nice big room, big shower room - but only one bed had been made up (we booked for two people). Back to reception but madame had gone home. Phoned the hotel number and another person arrived ten minutes later, provided the second set of bedding, and disappeared. She 'couldn't understand how such a thing could have happened', but we found out that other guests that day had the same experience. TV in the room found some of the listed channels but the advertised English language ones produced only blank screens. Honesty bar - take a drink and sign for it. Residenzia Hotel Grenadier is a fine little hotel to stay in for a few nights. It is located just outside the center of Munster and is very peaceful. Please note that you can only check in and out at certain times. When we visited the hotel it was between the hours. 10 am and 15 pm.||||The rooms are large and clean. However, it lacks a refrigerator. There is WiFi in the hotel but only in the restaurant.||||The breakfast is good and plentiful.||||There is free parking in front of the hotel and it was not a problem finding a parking space.||||The city of Munster does not have much to offer, but Deutsches Panzermuseum is a must see! A nice clean Hotel just outside the town of Munster Ortze near Luneberg Heide. There is a good breakfast provided but no evening catering on-site. Easy parking outside the Hotel and good wi-fi. There is no Bar service in the evening however guests can help themselves to drinks from a fridge and book them on a sheet; our first honesty Bar! The only down side is limited manning of the Hotel Reception; however we enjoyed the stay. This Hotel was our Officers Mess when I served here with the British Army in 1986.
