Not worth your while! Came there on a year pass of it's mother company SnowWorld, which turns out not to be valid here. It took 'm a very, very long time to find this out with tons of accompanying sighs out of annoyance from their part, which did not give a very welcoming feeling.
After a quick inspection of the facilities I decided to just purchase a ticket for the evening (super expensive). Even though the chairlift wasn't running and 50% of the slope was closed due to professional trainings.
I asked a couple of times what the routing was for sit-skiers, but the reactions weren't really comforting or explanatory either (usually there is a couple of extra hurdles to take, and it helps to be informed about them in advance).
Then they offered me a discount if I could 'prove' that I was disabled (why else would I come in a sit-ski?).The only official document to prove it is my parking permit which was in my car - duh! (it's quite a walk back to the parking). Huge sigh of annoyance again. Then they decided that I wasn't disabled enough (or at least not officially), so they could not give me the discount. To which I decided that they didn't want to have me there, and I left.
It's not about discounts and money, it's about attitude and making guests be welcome. Just so rude and unfriendly. How to not understand hospitality.
I might go back and give it another try, and see how the rest of the ski experience is here. But for now I'm truly disappointed.
Good thing is that everything looks very nice and more over that they are very big on climate and...
Read moreVery nice place to ski whatever the weather outside. I would definitely recommend if you are not too far away (we came from Cologne about 45 mins drive). The small slope (about 100 metres long) is perfect for those who wear skis for the first time or just want to refresh their memory. Then there are 2 options on the longer/higher/more advanced slope - both of which are still pretty easy. And you can get to the very top of the hill to get some extreme. Advanced skiers would be bored here I guess but for medium skills level it is very good and the weather is guaranteed to be frosty on any day:) We also appreciated the skiers being generally careful and sensible on the slopes.
There were quite a few people, so the queues to get to the lift were rather long (mostly 10 mins wait I would say). We found the ski tickets to be more expensive than on some real snow slopes some 2-3 hours drive away. But we felt the visit was worth the money.
Thank you, Alenpark Neuss, for...
Read moreNice hall overall. You can choose form 2 different lifts, whereby one will stop just a few yards before/below the very top of the hill Pretty easy to get On/Off the lifts, independent of your level of proficiency Your time (ticket) will start running as soon as you enter the hall thru the gate, The gate tells you the exact time you entered. Time will not stop or pause if you wanna take a break and leave the hall to go outside or something. It'll keep running. So, if you have a 4HR pass, and decided to take a (for example 30 min) break after 2HR, you would have 90 min left on the clock. Depending on your level of proficiency, going downhill may seem kinda short or quick (300M long) Nice staff Equipment in good shape Lockers very easy to use. No extra coins needed. Wintersports...
