This was such a pleasant surprise! I've never feld more welcome. The owners are excellent hosts. ||Our room (called 'Bergzimmer' ) was on the top floor (2 stairs), lots of space, even a little kitchenette, all kinds of wine in the fridge. The bathroom was tiny, but OK. Everything was very tidy and clean. ||||All hosts (the owners and the lady serving breakfast) were all very friendly, helpful and interested. They recommended places to visit, informed us where to rent bikes, where to go hiking, etc. ||||The wine bistro is located in a nice little patio, and offers a fair choice of wine by the glass and some good food ('flammkuchen') to go with it. From arrival to departure, the hosts were very hospitable and helpful. The food served in the wine bar is excellent and local. As for the wine..... Fantastic. The breakfasts were filling and served by a charming German lady. The breakfast can be served when you choose. They take credit cards in the restaurant where you can pay for your room if you wish. Loads of parking at the back, lovely room and we had a lovely time. The area beats Baden-Baden. Go to st martins for a beautiful town nearby. Great find. Oh and if you like the wine, they also retail it at very good prices. The round red was cheap. Gäbe es noch weitere Sterne , wir würden sie alle vergeben . Die liebevoll gestaltete Unterkunft von Gunnar und Stefan ist mittlerweile für uns zur zweiten Heimat geworden . Die Lage für fantastische Ausflüge ist grandios . Man kann von dort direkt loswanden . Das Hambacher Schloss liegt oberhalb vom Rebstöckel und man kann einen wunderschönen Weg dorthin wandern .Wer mit Rad unterwegs ist , kann von einem Waldgebiet , vor Haßloch , direkt durch den Wald nach Speyer , an den Rhein fahren. Danach freuen wir uns immer unsagbar in der schönen Vinothek von Gunnar und Stefan sehr gute , ausgesuchte Weine aus der Region zu trinken . Die Zwei kennen sich wirklich aus !!!!Der Innenhof ist lauschig , mediterran gestaltet und man kann ebenso in einem Gewölbe sitzen und leckere Speisen zu sich nehmen . Ich ernähre mich , während unseres jährlichen Aufenthalts , fast ausschließlich von Gunnars unvergleichlichen Salaten in Flammkuchen . Im September sind wir wieder da 😀🤗Gunnar und Stefan sind absolute Gastgeber ,,Schätze,, ,die den Charme der alten Frühstückspension wunderbar erhalten und mit neu , gestalteten Elementen kombiniert haben . Das Frühstück ist wunderbar !Man wird dort am Tisch bedient und fühlt sich wirklich zuhause . Wir sind ein Paar , um die 50 . ..
