The room is clean and appears well-maintained. And the breakfast buffet was excellent in terms of variety and freshness of food. And of course it was really tasty. However, the reason that my overall experience couldn't go beyond 5 points was due to the unpleasant experience with the staffs.
We had late dinner in the restaurant in the ground floor. We selected our food and were waiting to be served. But the waiter was not coming. So we had to call me by telling him 'excuse me'. At that time there were only two teams in the restaurant who were already having their foods so he shouldn't be busy. I don't understand why he came to our table so late.
Finally, the waiter came to our table to serve and he gave us an excuse (which I don't believe makes sense), rather than giving us an apologies for being late, by telling us that we should have closed the menu if we're ready to order so as to make him aware that we're ready. I was not happy with his attitude and the not-sensible excuse but I just regarded it as 'German' practice.
After a couple of minutes, some more guests - 2~3 teams of guests- came to restaurant for dinner. and I found strange thing. The waiter approach to those guests in the restaurant and asked for their order even when they still opened the menu, which is different from what I was just told by him. I was very upset about his twofold attitude!
Another occation happened next morning when I check out. Yesterday I asked the restaurant to bill our dinner to my room. When I was trying to pay for it in check-out, the female receptionist told me that I had 20 euro voucher so I only needed to pay the balance. It was actually good. But I believe the male receptionist who took care of our check-in should have told us about the voucher to be redeemed. Had I not asked to bill the dinner to my room, there was no way that I could know that there is a voucher that I can use.
From my perspective, the male receptionist who helped me with check-in was not professional at all. When check-in, I handed over my passport to him but he gave me wrong booking receipt (it was for Chinese from Hong Kong). When I said this was not for my reservation, he said he couldn't find my reservation. (Why???! He had my passport. Is it that difficult??) so I showed email that I got from your hotel and finally he found my reservation. I guess he mispelled my name when searching reservation. I strongly believe he should have a bit of effort to check if there is some mistakes on his end rater than just telling me that he couldn't find my reservation. In addition, he didn't tell me about where to have breakfast, what time the breakfast will be served, how we can use wifi and not a single word about the 20 euro voucher, which is what normal receptionist is doing. - he literally didn't say anything but giving me a two card keys.
Please pay a bit more attention to...
Read moreNothing special. Handy for the airport but expensive for what you get, fancy entrance lobby but the rooms are mediocre. The day before arriving I emailed the hotel and requested a car parking space be reserved for me as I would not be there until 21.30 and received an email back telling me there was ample parking at the hotel. Upon arrival at the airport I picked up the hire car I had ordered drove it from the hire companies car park to the hotel only to find there was no parking available at the hotel so I then had to return to the car hire companies park and leave it there overnight. As I had to drive away the following morning at 06.00 this was inconvenient to say the least, hence my request for the hotel to reserve a space for me. I stayed here 2 nights. The night before I left I asked for a wake up call at 05.15 the following morning as I had an early flight, fortunately I was awake as my call did not happen. When I checked out at 05.30 I told the receptionist that I had requested a wake up call, he looked at his list and then had the cheek to tell me I had not requested one. I was unhappy with this response and told him I most certainly had phoned from my room the previous evening to request one, I also mentioned the lack of the reserved car park and was told "we do not reserve car parks" when I showed him the email from Alexander Winkler (the assistant manager that says, and I have copied and pasted this sentence) 'We have our own car parking with enough spaces' he told me that the assistant manager had not actually promised me anything. While it is true the word promise was not in the email sent to me it was definitely implied. Terrible service from...

SECOND STAY May 2025: The Air conditioning never blew cool air, only room temperature (seemed like the AC compressor never kicked in). In addition and worst part was that the heather, located under the window, was always blowing hot air even though its knob was pointing to "X" the off position… but we were just too tired to complain and have a visit from maintenance and/or change rooms
FIRST STAY Feb 2024: Excellent welcoming by the receptionist (lady). She was so helpful and pleasant that we even wanted to stay at the hotel for longer!. However once we got to the room it was hot and the air conditioning wasnt working... we were tired to complain to have a maintenance techician and/or change rooms... also something odd we noticed was that since we finished our 2 cups of coffee we had in the room, in the morning I went to the lobby and found that they didn’t have any courtesy coffee for the guest. On one side of the lobby there was an automated coffee machine, so I was about to serve one cup, but a hotel employee (black lady) came quickly and asked me if I had pay for breakfast? I said no. She said, ok so then you have to pay 5 Euros… that was odd compared to the sweetest welcoming the night...
