Hotel Postwirt — Hotel in Oberding (VGem)

Stayed here recently whilst working in the area and found the hotel to be first class in every department, immaculately clean throughout with very nice well equipped rooms and excellent bar/restaurant which serves first class food.||||It is situated in pretty Eitting which is conveniently located close to the airport and the town of Erding which is well worth a visit and has a train station to get to Munich city centre if required.||||The owners are extremely friendly and go out of their way to make you feel welcome and nothing is too much trouble. We recently visited Munich which was having what we all seem to call an "Indian Summer" as we were able to sit outside in the sunshine in T shirts. Our base was in the wonderful Gasthaus Zur Post in a quiet little village called Eitting which is ten minutes from Josef Strauss Airport, the rooms are very comfortable and the food which is cooked by the owners is first class. Besides being able to get to Munich city centre in 40 minutes by train you can also get to another fabulous town Erding, which is where the world famous beer is produced, there are lots of restaurants, bars and shops all set around lovely...

This is a great local restaurant, family run with friendly staff serving great food. Really recommend a visit if you are staying near Munich airport and looking for some where with a little local character this is the place to go - 10-15 mins drive away....||||Rooms looked ok and very reasonable....a great option for staying in compared to the 'nearby'...
