Hotel Am Steendamm, Bremen — Hotel in Oyten

Location & Hotel & Restaurant ||This rather simple but really nice hotel is located in the vicinity of Bremen and very close to the freeway (excellent accessibility), which makes it a perfect spot for transients. The hotel has a small restaurant and a bar, which can be accessed by non-hotel guests as well. I have not eaten at the restaurant so I cannot say whether the food is of decent quality but the breakfast was great. ||||Room||The quite spacious suite is located in a separate building (which contained the 2 suites of the hotel) and had a living room with TV, a decent sized bedroom with a TV, a spacious bathroom with a separate toilette, and a small patio. Admittedly, the furniture is a bit dated but still OK. ||||Bathroom||The really spacious bathroom was excellent and had (probably) just been renovated. The bathroom has a nice tub and a separate shower. The warm colours were designed to match the Mediterranean style. Well done. There is a separate toilette - very convenient if you travel in twos. ||||Cleanliness||The room was cleaned properly. I have no complaints. ||||Hotel Staff||Very friendly, attentive, and devoted hotel staff. For example, I arrived rather late at night and the restaurant was already closed; however, they were ready to prepare a simple but really delicious dinner for me. This was a great service – they don’t let you down! ||||Breakfast & Lunch & Dinner area||The small breakfast & lunch & dinner area is all in all OK even though the furniture is a bit dated. This, however, mirrors the particular ambience of a country inn. The very good breakfast is included in the price and individually prepared for the guests. ||||Internet & Parking||No extra costs for Internet and parking. Great! ||||Special Features||My suite was very nice and reasonably priced; I really liked the fact that my suite was in a separate building. No one can disturb you there. ||||Spa||No Sauna.||||Price-Quality Ratio||This hotel has an excellent price-value ratio and the hotel staff makes one feel at home. ||||Final Conclusions||This nice – but a little dated - country inn is an excellent place for short-term stays and transients. I stayed at this hotel during a business trip. The hotel remains on a passageway surrounded by greenery that connects 2 towns. The area is very quiet, if you are looking for relaxation it is certainly an excellent choice at the expense of the nearby comforts, in fact to reach the nearby towns you still have to take the car. The staff was very private, really helpful considering I delayed arriving for a couple of hours due to flight delays and arrived in the middle of the night. Very spacious room, furnished in a simple and practical way, but with everything you need for a good stay. Breakfast served at the non-buffet table, the choice is certainly limited, but what is served is good and certainly homemade. I'm not often in these areas, but in case I'll keep this...

Nice hotel in a quiet village close to the autobahn. Perfect for a dinner, sleep, breakfast and get on the road again. We were doing Europe from top to bottom in a hurry. We actually thought that this would be a nice place for a longer stay too. Beautiful surroundings. The walks around the hotel were full of deer as well as domestic animals.
