We came from the UK to spend time with family and didn’t know much about the area. It is absolutely stunning with pretty villages and coastal towns, pristine beaches, crystal clear sea, rivers, wetlands and birds / wildlife everywhere you look.

The house has been restored to a very high standard and is clearly a labour of love for Nik and Diana. The grounds are beautiful and the terraces are perfect to sip a drink and watch the natural world go by.

Our apartment was huge, spotless and had everything we needed for our seven-night stay (I can’t think of many places in the UK where you would have so much space).

There are great restaurants nearby and further afield, with fish on almost all of the menus. We also enjoyed traditional pork dishes and Ronnys is a five minute walk down the river path for great schnitzel and friendly service. Local supermarkets and bakeries etc provide all you need if you want to eat back at the house.

Nik and Diana gave us lots of recommendations for things to do and our sunset trip on the Baltic Star paddle steamer was a highlight. Watching waves of cranes returning from their feeding grounds is something we will never forget.

We hope to return to this special part of Germany and would not hesitate to...

Schloss Pütnitz is an absolutely stunning place! The palace is beautifully restored, combining historical charm with modern comfort. The surrounding nature is breathtaking, creating a peaceful and magical atmosphere.

Diana and Nick are the perfect hosts—warm, welcoming, and always ready to help with anything you need. Their attention to detail makes the stay even more special. The rooms are spacious, cozy, and beautifully decorated, making you feel at home from the moment you arrive.

The entire property is simply wonderful, offering a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Whether you’re looking for a romantic getaway, a family vacation, or just a peaceful retreat, Schloss Pütnitz is the perfect place to relax and unwind.

Highly recommended—I can’t...

We had a fantastic time staying at Schloss Pütnitz. Wonderful location right on the Recknitz River. We were able to kayak, swim and fish in perfect summer weather. The wanderweg, or foot path, ran right along the river. Rooms were comfortable and refurbished to fit the period of the manor home. I could not have pictured a more relaxing place to...
