Fair Resort Sport-& Wellnesshotel — Hotel in Südliches Saaletal

We were here for a wedding, we had the back winter garden room all to ourselves which was fantastic, we could close the door and it was private. The food was really great though I did miss the croissants that we had on Friday morning, they didn't have them again on Saturday.||||The room was really HOT and the circulating air that is supposed to be available was broken/or not functioning. We asked at the front desk three times and they kept saying that someone would come look/fix and nothing was done nor any follow up. By the third time that we asked, they gave us a fan that was louder than a jet engine. ||Leaving the windows open was the only option and there were tons of little insects that came in the room because of this. You could also only open up the window a little bit so that didn't help much. We still woke up multiple times in the night because it was so hot and we had to remove the bedding because it was not a summer duvet.||||The noise from the roadway was also quite loud when you had the window open. I think with the windows closed this would've been ok.||||The outside pool area was ok but the chairs were really old and stained and the pool area looked nothing like the pictures make it look... it's old and much much smaller. It did it's job of cooling us off but it's misleading. We also had to walk all over the place to find the spa area so we could pick up the pool towels. A suggestion would be to have these at the front desk or somewhere near the pool.||||In the end we all felt like this hotel was way over priced for what we got. We live in Switzerland and are used to high prices but for what we got, this was way over priced.||||The shower was ok but the floor was really slippery and lot's of our older family was scared they would slip when they showered.||||Since there was no air circulating in the room, none of the towels ever dried the whole time we ere there.||||It's also not really near public transport in case you were on foot like we were (about 10-15 min walk).||||In summary, the food was good, the waiter/waitresses were nice but the room and the front desk service was not good, they gave an attitude that there's nothing they can do if something isn't working and you pay the price even if things that are expected to...

The star of this hotel is the attached fitness center that is often used by the residents of the town. The fitness center is modern and well maintained and offers bowling, tennis, badminton, cardio classes, and spa type treatments. The hotel part is very much an after thought. ||||Pros: Very clean rooms, modern bathroom (including fixtures), price includes unlimited use of the public transit (but all Jena hotels include this). They offer an in-room safe and have excellent hot water in the shower/tub/sink.||||Cons: In-room wifi is 8-euro per hour! Over a 10 minute walk from the last metro stop on the line. This means it will take you 30 minutes to get anywhere useful during peak times, and up to an hour during off peak, depending on what line is running. The windows in the rooms don't have screens on them, so you will get insects if you leave the window open, but the air conditioning doesn't function well (only seems to move air, not cool the air). There are fewer than 10 tv stations, only one of which is in english, and there are absolutely no signs or written material in english. The breakfast buffet is also a bit of a joke by any standard. All of the bread choices are the floppy soft american style, the fruit salad seemed like it came from a can with some added chunks of apple. All of the juices are from concentrate, and the glasses are only around 4oz. Hotel patrons (mostly saggy Germans) strut around the place in bath robes.||||I recommend this hotel only if everything else is sold out in Jena. Definitely not a...

Eins vor weg. Wir werden im Juli wieder kommen:) Aber nur weil es Seite gibt,wo man es viel günstiger bekommt. Den für den original Preis wäre uns das zu teuer. Weil wir von einem 4 Stern in manchen Dingen mehr erwartet hätten. Was uns sehr gefallen hat war,das All In Angebot( inkl. GETRÄNKE bis 21Uh) Somit spart man einiges 😊 Das Essen war mal ok,mal gut. Leider fand ich an der Salatbar immer das gleiche. Keine richtige Abwechslung. Also wenn man 5 Tage immer das gleiche hat,dann ist das irgendwann langweilig. Für 4 Sterne etwas mehr Abwechslung erwartet. Auch der Kuchen wurde vom Mittag wieder serviert. Zum Glück gab es Dessertsgläschen.. Auch Obst war da. 1 Abend gab es Crêpes. Was wir sehr schade fanden und nicht die einzigen waren die es vermisst haben,war Bacon zum Rührei 😒 ich weiß warum,aber auch da kann man sich was einfallen lassen 😉 Aber die Auswahl an Getränken war super. Sogar frisch gepresster O -Saft,alle Getränke, alle Säfte und alle Kaffee Spezialitäten waren vorhanden und inkl. 😊👍super. Achja und Wein+Bier war auch umsonst. 😄Schmeckte auch alles gut. Hatte nämlich befürchtet, dass es billig schmecken würde. Aber war sehr gut. Was uns noch aufgefallen ist war,das draußen nie die Tische gewischt wurden😑 der ganze Staub und Abdrücke von den Gläsern waren drauf. Ich verstehe, das die Pollen flogen,aber immer vor und nach den Essenszeiten kann man drüber wischen. Somit sind auch die Abdrücke weg ;) Was mich persönlich Sauer gemacht hat war, wie eine Kellner mich angesprochen hatte,dass man keinen Bademantel tragen sollte,wenn man sich das Essen zum Mittag holt.Gut das ich nicht die einzige war 😉 Dann sollte man dies besser kennzeichnen und beim Check in erwähnen. Den auf dem Bild steht angemessene Kleidung tragen und kein Badekleidung. Von Bademantel war keine Rede. In Sauna und Therme/Wellnesshotels läuft man auch in Bademantel rum. Woher sollte man das wissen,dass hier das nicht erwünscht ist. Was auch ok ist. Aber die Kellnerin war unfreundlich und fing an zu diskutieren. Ich war freundlich und habe Verständnis gezeigt. Habe nur erwähnt, dass ich das so nicht kenne. Sie sagt dann: " in der Türkei tragen sie auch keinen Bademantel zum essen " richtig gute Frau. In der Türkei sind es 40 Grad und alle tragen einen Überwurf zum Mittagessen und generell keinen Bademantel😉. Das würde ich auch tun,wenn ich es vorher gewusst hätte. Ton macht die Musik!Aber Getränke darf man holen ohne sich umziehen zu müssen,aber kurz ein Stück Kuchen oder co.zu holen,da muss man sich anziehen. Macht Sinn😬 Das hat mich echt wütend gemacht. Weil andere Gäste wurden nicht darauf hingewiesen, aber nur von der eine Kellnerin ,bekamen wir den Hinweis. Anderen Kellnern war das egal. Ich hatte mich mit anderen Gästen unterhalten und ich war nicht die einzige der Meinung. Bitte besser kommunizieren, dann ärgert sich kein Gast mehr. Aber an sich waren alle Mitarbeiter nett🤗 Ach ja,das Zimmer war super. Leider haben wir das Duschgel vermisst 😏 3 kleine pröbchen für ein Resort leider ungenügend, auch im Wellnessbereich war nix zum abduschen. Den Außenpool war super,Innenpool auch(nur keine 29°😉)auch Sauna vorhanden. Nur halt etwas weiter weg vom Außenpool 😔man muss immer weit laufen.Auch mit den vielen Stufen. Wenn man über den Hotelübergang ginge,dann hat man sehr viele Stufen zu laufen. Aber für uns war das ok. Nur für die ,die nicht viel laufen können. Abends fehlte die Beleuchtung draußen am Pool. 😒 Massage" PERSÖNLICH! Bei Ella nicht mehr. Kopf/Gesicht,Ganzkörper-nein. Fast 15 Min.zufrüh aufgehört..geht garnicht. Die Liege fand ich auch nicht gut. War im Gesichtsbereich nicht angenehm. Mein Mann hatte da mehr Glück bei einer anderen Kollegin. Könnte mehr dazu erzählen, aber jeder soll es für sich entscheiden. 🙃Aber wo ich jetzt vieles weiß, wird der nächste Besuch ...
