REGIOHOTEL Salzland Schönebeck (A14) — Hotel in Schönebeck (Elbe)

We have stopped in this hotel by accident to be absolutely honest. We were coming back from our New Years brake and we planed to stop in Hanover. However for the reason of bad weather we decided to stop earlier and luck pint us out in direction of this hotel. ||The location is perfect as it is just next to the motorway but not close enough to be woken up by traffic. ||We arrived at 1st of January just before midnight and the reception was closed. Even though we didn't have a reservation we were directed to the hotel restaurant where we found a very helpful staff who offer as a room for a night.||Unfortunately there was only a smoking room available (this was of course not a fault of the hotel but ours for not booking in advance) and we are not smoking so the smell was quiet powerful. Apart of that rooms were clean and tidy. Beds were very comfortable. The duvet and cushion were nice and fluffy (down). and the room were nice and warm. The parking was free of charge which was a massive plus and the bathroom were clean and water warm (even thought we had shower in the night hours). The walls and quiet thick so there was not a lot of noises coming through them. ||The only minus I found was quiet award setting of bed in the room which made me hit my leg every time I try to go around it which resolved in massive bruise as a souvenir. ||The check out time is up to 11am but unfortunately by this time the restaurant is close so you cant even grab a quick snack. However there is petrol station just across the road which serves whole range of hot food and cold snacks.||All in all great...

EDIT: Ich habe diese Rezension vor über einem Jahr geschrieben und kann mir nicht erklären, warum diese erst vor kurzem veröffentlich wurde. Meine Bewertung bezieht sich auf das sleep&go Hotel, welches zuvor an diesem Standort war und entspricht meiner tatsächlichen Erfahrung in diesem Haus. Ich kann keine Aussage dazu treffen, wie es aktuell nach der scheinbaren Renovierung dort aussieht und weiß auch nicht, warum der neue Besitzer den Google Business Account vom Vorbesitzer weiterführt.

Der Empfang war relativ freundlich, aber auch nicht zeitgemäß. Online gebucht, musste trotzdem per Hand einen Zettel mit allen Daten ausfüllen. Hotel ist nicht barrierefrei, es gibt keinen Aufzug. Türen sind mit alten Magnetkarten gesichert, die nach Kontakt mit einem Handy nicht mehr funktionieren. Zimmer ist halbwegs sauber, Teppich ist uralt und hat einige Flecken. Alles ist total in die Jahre gekommen und veraltet. Die Klorollenhalterung hat sogar noch einen Aschenbecher oben drauf. Wände sind sehr schäbig und abgegriffen, man sieht teilweise die vorherige Wandfarbe weil die Möbel beim Streichen nicht verrückt wurden. Die Dusche ist die absolute Katastrophe, wie in einem Schwimmbad mit Druckknopf für ein paar Sekunden Wasser, es gibt keinen Brausekopf. Es gibt theoretisch einen Spender für ein Kombiprodukt (Hand, Körper, Shampoo) aber scheinbar spart man hier beim nachfüllen. Meiner war zumindest leer, dafür stand daneben eine Flasche Palmolive aus der Drogerie, sowas habe ich in einem Hotel noch nie gesehen. Es gibt kein freies WiFi, der Schreibtischstuhl ist alt und sehr wackelig. Der Fernseher ist winzig, auf eBay bekommt man Bessere und Neuere ab 30€,. Sehr wenig Steckdosen, für geschäftliche Reisen absolut unbrauchbar. Mit dem Schlafen muss man leider warten, bis die Sonne untergeht, es gibt keine Abdunklungsrollos und die Gardinen sind fast durchsichtig.

Das Bett hat kein Lattenrost, sondern nur eine Spanplatte unter der Matratze. Die Matratze selbst ist so durchgelegtem, dass man jede Feder spürt.

Bitte bitte bitte tut euch dieses Hotel nicht an. Man kann ja sparen, aber das hier geht...

Great stay at the hotel. For us, it was a short stop before continuing our travels and this hotel was perfect for that. It was located on the outskirts of the town with free parking, so it's ideal for travel. The town is a little ways away, so if you're going specifically for the town, choose something else. The rooms were fine, but specifically a STELLAR shower with amazing water pressure. I would return simply for that. Finally, staff was unable to speak English but was kind ans accommodating...
