Meyer's Hotel Garni — Hotel in Seevetal

I stayed at the Meyers Hotel Garni in Hittfeld for 4 evenings and it was most comfortable. A warm welcome and well appointed rooms along with a nice breakfast buffet are all that most people need for a break. The hotel was immaculate and my room was cleaned every day as is customary in German hotels.||||The hotel is situated in the quiet village of Hittfeld but there are a number of local shops and restaurants in the immediate vicinity and of course a local train station connecting with places such as Hamburg.||||I am already a big fan of Northern German cuisine and the daily breakfast table was ideal. If what you are looking for is an English breakfast then it’s probably not for you but a fresh selection of muesli, fruits, hams and cheeses along with a variety of bakery items and local produce like Frikadellen or Mitt kept me happy and well fed. There was also hot sausage, bacon and scrambled eggs and a range of preserves for the toast people out there!||Service was great and a wide selection of teas and coffees were available along with fruit juices.||||No hesitation in recommending the Meyers Hotel...

The hotel is very quaint but nice. The surrounding village is also very nice and there are some great locations to eat and drink. I should mention that many people only speak German or limited English but the people are nice and you can normally fine someone nearby to help (most notices around and in the room were only in German as well).||The room was simple and unfortunately didn't have any cooling and as when I was there it was late 20s early 30 degrees it did make it a bit difficult to sleep (also the bathroom had a heated floor which I couldn't work out how to switch off). Also no fridge in the room with drinks just two bottles of complimentary water on the branch.||The breakfast was nice with the normal selection of meat, bread, cheese and some fish. Had to visit a customer around Sevetal and found this hotel. By looking at the few reviews I decided to give it a try. I'm happy to say that I was not dissapointed! The hotel is in the hart of the small town Hittfeld, just across the church ( no I did not hear the church bells during the night) the rooms are spacious and the beds comfortable. Wifi is free and of decent speed. Bathroom looks as if it has been renewed recently, it is not too big and has a bathtub. Personally I prefer a shower only., which would have given the bathroom a bit more spacious feeling I guess. In the morning I was surprised by the quality of the breakfast buffet.
