This hotel doesn't look that great on the outside, mainly due to its location. It's very close to the motorway, next to what they call an Autohof in Germany. That's a gas station with a truckstop style restaurant, plus a big parking lot where truckers spend the night. The hotel is at the end of a dead-end street adjacent to the Autohof, with a parking lot for hotel guests, next to the hotel. Once you're inside it's quite pleasant and welcoming though. I've heard staff speak German, English and Spanish.||The rooms are a bit above basic. Clean, good beds, a good little TV with all German language TV stations plus BBC world news, and a good shower. No coffee or TV making facilities though, and the WiFi is very iffy. If it works it's OK, but you lose connection quite regularly, so you can't get a lot of work done on your laptop. I also wasn't able to get a 3G/4G connection on my mobile phone, the whole area seems to be a bit of a dead spot.||Breakfast in the hotel is great. For dinner you can go to the Autohof, or better yet: go to the town of Senden. There are several restaurants there, and I can recommend Mey's Wok, which is an Asian restaurant. Great quality food for a great price.||From the hotel you'll be on the motorway in minutes, and in the center of Münster...
Read moreon a trip with friends around Germany on our Harleys, our first stop was at this hotel, we had called ahead to explain it would be a late check in, around 9,30pm, we were told this was not a problem, on arrival, im afraid the attitude of the lady at reception wasn't good, she couldn't find our booking, then after calling someone tried to palm us off with the wrong rooms, even tho we had a booking invoice on our phones this seemed to annoy her, when we eventually got sorted out, we asked if we could eat and have a beer, we were told NO.so, we went to the truck stop over the road, and got a sandwich, when we returned we witnessed her serving other German guests with beer !!!! we mentioned this at check out the following day to be told the bar was open until 11pm, not good customer service. the room was ok, the wifi terrible wouldn't recommend due to...
Read moreThis hotel was awesome! We were a family of four and were a bit surprised to receive two room keys. They had set up one room for the adults with a lovely holiday welcome gift bag and one room for the children with chocolate Santas.
We opted to include breakfast and were not disappointed. There was a vast array of choices. Many breads, cheeses, deli meats, chopped vegetables, cereals, müsli, tea, etc. The staff was very friendly with us with each encounter.
Just a tip for those staying, the elevator is closed down when the reception area is shut down for the night. So prepare yourself to climb stairs if you come back late and are housed on the...
