Gasthaus & Pension Heidehof — Hotel in Soltau

A wonderful family run Gasthaus. We arrived after midnight on the day of check in and the lady had waited up for us, this was so good of her and we are very grateful. We enjoyed our stay, the breakfasts were delicious with so much choice and the two meals we had in the restaurant were excellent. Room 4 was spacious and comfortable but the double bed is not in a good position, the head being under the sloping ceiling made it difficult to turn over, so we put our pillows to the foot of the bed... problem solved for us but maybe they should consider putting the single bed where the double bed is. The double bed would be better on the other side of the partition wall. We would definitely stay at the lovely...

The staff were extremely friendly however the rooms require a bit of an update. Our bed was located directly under where the roof slopes down so you couldn't sit up in bed. There were also many spiders, which is understandable in a rural area, but could be managed a bit better with screens in the windows and perhaps moving the furniture. Other than that it was a very pleasant stay and for the price I can recommend it, as long as you don't mind spiders. Wir waren diesen Sommer für 4 Nächte in dieser Pension und waren sehr erfreut über den dortigen Aufenthalt. Die Pension samt Gasthof liegt 5 Autominuten entfernt von Soltau, direkt an der A7 Richtung Hamburg. Die Pension selbst liegt etwas abgelegend zwischen Wald und Feldern wo man öfters auf verschiedenste Tiere traf, das war natürlich mal ein Highlight für uns Stadtkinder :). Frühstück wird von der Cheffin selbst serviert und ist wirklich vielseitig und in ausreichender Menge. Die Zimmer waren absolut sauber, und mit Zimmersafe und Flachbildfernseher ausgestattet. Unser Bad war für ein Pensionszimmer erstaunlich groß und war mit einer schönen Eckdusche ausgestattet. Der hauseigene Gasthof öffnete 17 Uhr, diesen haben wir leider nicht besucht. Für die Kleineren ist ein Spielplatz samt kleinem Fussballfeld vorhanden. Die Hausherrin war sehr nett und kommunikativ, zudem gab sie uns Ausflugstipps und Hinweise an welchen Tagen man am besten in den Heidepark gehen sollte, und nicht von Menschenmassen erdrückt zu werden :) . Einzg die Geräuchkulisse des Truppenübungsplatz störte manchmal, aber dies war auch nur selten der Fall. Trotz dass das Haus nur ca. 100 Meter von der Autobahn entfernt liegt hörte man diese nicht.
