It was first time in my life that I had such bad experience with hotel just because of customer service. When I was booking the room it was written that room has air conditioning and when I arrived I asked about air condition. I was laughed at by one owner that I requested about it because they dont have it and they dont need to have it. When I went down to the reception the wifes owner asked me if everything is ok. I complained about lack of air conditioning and she reacted in the same manner as the owner. So I asked her why they advertise that they have air condition and she replied to me that something is wrong with me because she doesnt feel hot. In the same hotel there was also my colleague and she told me to bring to his room invoice for the stay and I refused since I am not meeting with him. She replied to this WHY? DON`T MAKE ME ANGRY!” At that point I was literally shocked by such attitude to customer who pays 120 Euros per night. Another thing I disliked in this hotel was bottle of water next to mine bed. Normally when the bottle of water is next to bed that means it is complimentary but here it turned out it was 4 Euro for bottle and it was no information about it except that information was hidden inside the book. Walking around hotel in the night was also not easy. I wanted to go down to my car and it turned out that all the door are closed and only way was going around the hotel which was difficult because there was no light and I had to walk blindly. Forget about any help, reception most of the time is closed. Design of the room is also strange, water from shower goes into the room because there is no door in shower. Toilet also has no door so it looks like it is next to your bed. Only good thing is that...
Read moreWe went for a wedding around there and it was hard to find a room in a nice hotel. The Chalet Valley was the only reasonable one I found, even the price for a "b&b" is quite high I thought. But wait until you get there... The owner Iris might be a little bit crazy ;) (so she's saying it herself) but she is very friendly and does whatever to make you feel at home. She's an architect and designed the house and studios herself. The studios are amazing, so spacious, clean and modern. Each one individually designed. Everywhere you find art and souveniers from around the world, mostly from her father. There is a very nice indoor pool but sadly we did not have time to explore it. You can easily stay there for longer to relax. We had a wonderful balcony and you can grab the grapes from the bush directly. There is some alcohol and snacks in the room. We did not touch it but I believe it's even included. For breakfast you can order whatever you want and Iris will prepare it.||If we go again in this wonderful region, we will definitely stay there again. We wish Iris, her husband, son and mother all the best...
Read moreThis is not really a hotel, more like a B&B, an upmarked one, don't get me wrong. The building itself is nice and modern, there is lots of space and the bathrooms are all new. The internet is free and works, but it is rather slow.||To my surprise the breakfast was not included in my rate. Make sure you ask before you have it.||The decoration of the building, the garden and the breakfast room is somewhat quirky and for me it felt cluttered. But that's just my personal opinion. Other people might find it cozy. The breakfast table was full of deko elements, quite frankly, as a business traveller I prefer a more standard setting. I didn't use the pool or gym because I didn't even know they had them. Was only told in the morning at check-out.||I felt a little bit like an intruder with the lady of the house, she was probably stressed because there was some building work going on. ||I had a good nights sleep but the whole experience felt weird. Would probably only go back if pushed. ||For Oktoberfest this may be a good option, because they can increase the number of beddings per room...
