Hotel Reich an der Rems — Hotel in Vereinbarte Verwaltungsgemeinschaft der Stadt Schorndorf

This hotel I was told is 2 years old and the rooms are A+, staff was A+, the food was A+ but if you like to open the windows at night to get some fresh air you will get an unpleasant surprise. Their is an open sewer next to the parking lot and the odor will make you vomit or faint. ||||There is a nice running creek behind the Hotel and when the wind is blowing away from the hotel it is lovely and relaxing, but as soon as the wind changes direction you have to close the windows. Another issue is the the restaurant and bar is closed Friday, Sat and Sunday nights. Today when I returned to the hotel at 5 PM there was no one here. The front door was closed, and I used my key card to open the main entrance and I said hello several times and there was no one here. ||||The hotel advertises Non Smoking Hotel, but they do not enforce the rule as I smell cigarettes in the hall. I has more people who I suspect are business men on the weekdays, but weekends are dead. The TV has several channels that don't work . I would have given them a 5 point rating if it wasn't from the smell and cigarette smoke. I will not stay here again or won't stay here again unless they get rid...

This place feels cold and not wellcoming. We were greeted by an envelope at the reception desk. Our room is clean but feels cold (not temperature wise) stripped to the bare minimum that needs to be offered. The hotel is located between a noisy street, a river (which is nice and a little waste water plant. The room is a little old fashioned and has no charge at all. I would not recommend this place unless. Maybe for a business trip but that's it.

Add on: breakfast is from 7.30 - 9.30. We were literally kicked out at 9.30 despite still having coffee and food and not having been finished. The reason is that there is a buffet offered to restaurant guests and the hotel guests are "in the way' this is how it felt.

They claim to have 4 stars but everyone in our group was wondering about this.

In this new building on thr 1 st floor you will find the restaurant . It is contemporary and the decor /atmosphere very good. The service is good. The terrasse is good overlooking the river Rems. The menu is compact but offer one fish dish, one vegetarian., salads and meat.dishes. its over average pricing makes you expect something special. It doesn't deliver special. The burger was good but not special. The venisson at 28 euro was too expensive for boiled veg and bland sauce. The vegetarian option ( bulgur with vegs) was tasteless and the salads - although voluminous- didnt have enough of the meat/ prawns. One salad had the cook s hair in it and one bad leaf. |All in all we found this restaurant too pricey and the food is too bland and a lack...
