I arrived yesterday and I spent the night in Kurallee Hotel with my boyfriend. As we came back from breakfast this morning we found a man of the staff swearing and shouting in our room. I asked what was the problem and he aggressively screamed that the way we opened the window wasn't correct and that we must pay attention, then he went out. (The handle was turned down, instead of horizontal, there was no damage, the window worked perfectly, as it did yesterday). We went looking for him to clarify the situation. He was in another room, so I kindly asked him if I could talk to him. He didn't even deign to get out, so I asked him if we could enter the room and he said Yes. I even apologised if my german wasn't perfect and I just told him that such an aggressive behaviour was unproper. He literally started screaming close to my face that I had to go out, then HE GRABBED MY SHOULDER AND PUSHED ME. My boyfriend intervened and that man INSULTED him. We decided to immediately leave the hotel, we payed the whole price for the night, although this experience was seriously unpleasant, in addition to the fact that we had to waist time looking for another hotel. As I was getting out, that man was still saying something against me, so that the recepionist had to tell him to stop. Actually nothing to complain about the kind lady at the reception and about the facility in itself, but I WOULD NEVER EVER RECOMMEND THIS CRAZY...

Read moreI've stayed at the Kurallee on three occasions since 2011, and each time I've been very happy with the prices, the quality, and the service offered here. While the Kurallee is a little longer walk from the center of Meersburg than other places, the value it offers makes it worth every penny. (There is a free shuttle bus stop right across the street if you don't feel like walking, but the service stops at 22:00hrs)||||First, if you can get one of the rooms overlooking the parking lot towards the pastures across the street, do so. The sun sets in that direction and the evening views and sunsets are beautiful. Also, you won't have side by side neighbors. ||||Second, the breakfasts are traditional, simple German, but you won't want to miss them...they are fresh, quality, and as much as you can eat. I really don't understand other reviewers stating that the breakfasts aren't "extensive", or, are just "adequate." The Kurallee serves a traditional German breakfast, not a 300 different foods American buffet bar experience. ||||The rooms are always very clean and tidy, even though the decor is somewhat dated.||||The ability to speak German is a must here, as none of the staff speaks English (at least none that I have met so far).||||All in all, I highly recommend the Kurallee for its value compared with the other (very overpriced) options in Meersbug, especially during the peak seasons from April...
