TLDR: We found our room dirty, obviously not cleaned after the previous guests. We had to look for a different place to stay in the middle of the night. The hotel has never answered anything to our complaints, no apologies, no money back.
Here's what happened: as we arrived at hotel, we found the room dirty - it was obviously not cleaned at all after the previous guest. The bedsheets were all over the bed, there was some hair in the sheets, used towels in the bathroom, leftovers of bread from the last guest on the floor and greasy stains of the table. The room was simply not prepared to accommodate the next guest. I attach pictures that show what we found there.
Of course we couldn't stay in a dirty room. We immediately contacted booking.com and filed a complaint (to which, as I learnt on the booking.com telephone line, BI Hotel never answered anything at all). We also tried calling the BI Hotel number, but after 22:00 there was nobody answering or at the reception. In these circumstances, we had to leave and look for another place after midnight, which was not easy. It has been a week now and we never received any answer from BI Hotel - neither via booking.com, nor via e-mail, let alone an apology or a refund.

We made the reservation through Booking.com... the hotel is self-service by design and offers contact until 10 p.m. Since we knew we would arrive at the facility later, we informed the hotel... we checked in online and received access codes to two booked rooms. However, on site, surprise, because one of the rooms did not open. None of the codes worked, and of course the hotel's phone numbers did not answer. As a result, at night we were exposed not only to additional costs, but above all to stress and searching for accommodation in the area, for two elderly parents - I will point out that this is not a location rich in reasonable places to stay.
However, the story does not end there... the facility, despite providing the amount for the night, ultimately charged twice as much from my credit card for each of the rooms... to this day I cannot ask for a refund or any reasonable contact with the facility. The people who answer the phone claim that they only deal with reservations.
I personally recommend avoiding the property at all costs and being careful with the practices it uses because unfortunately they resemble fraud. I still expect an urgent refund and compensation from...
