The Excelsa is in Ejisu, just east of Kumasi. For those taking the highway north, it is virtually at the crossroads of the Kumasi-Accra road, and the road that goes north towards Mole.||||This was a pleasant surprise: We simply found it while driving by, and it turned out to be a very pleasant overnight stay.||||The hotel is very clean, and is run by a conscientious, personable staff (they even opened the kitchen early the next morning to make us sandwiches for our drive north).||||The food was good, with a nice selection of fish dishes. ||||Rooms are spacious and clean (the luxury double comes with a balcony), and the bed was very firm, very comfortable.||||The hotel also doubles as a conference center, and has very pleasant, well-tended grounds.||||There is a pool with poolside bar, but the pool needed a little bit of a cleaning when we were there.||||Overall, an excellent choice if you don't want to have to mess with going...

The Lodge has a decent swimming pool in good condition, a bar area, kitchen, restaurant and good rooms.
There's a green area where you can sit under the trees and relax after your activities are done as well.
The only downside for me was that the gym wasn't operational when I visited.

Read moreThe rooms are nice. There are swimming pool, restaurant, bar, gym and two conference halls - one is big for about 30 or 40 people and another small for about 10 people. The attendants are respectful but not very responsive. Their bar service is below average and I think they will improve upon it. Their wifi is not strong and sometimes no connectivity though you've paid as part of the conference charges. However, the place looks nice...
