Gya-son Royal Guest House — Hotel in Ashanti Region

I booked this guest house for my stay in Kumasi for my 2 weeks visit to Ghana but couldn't even spend a full night there because of the following reasons; Bathroom was very untidy with no place to hang towel. The water closet pot was loose to the extent that you could push and it dangles both sides. No towels and soap were available in the room. The air conditioning system control/remote was not in the room and they couldn't locate it as I was told they serviced it that day and took the remote away.

I couldn't bear the issues there so I checked myself out at 10pm. I will never stay at this guest house and will never advise or recommend...

The hotel rooms and corridors are dirty. Customers service is poor. I checked in, registered my name and went out to wash my car. After 1.5 hours of returning, the room was not cleaned, the bathrooms were dirty and how things were lying haphazardly in the room was worrying. I had to call the attendants to go and clean the room while I sit at the reception. At the reception, the mosquitoes I saw around made me checkout immediately. The impression I got (may be wrong), is the place is residential facility turned into a hotel. Please don't was your money going...

I reserved the place on the 15th of August 2025 for three night and paid in advance to management. I slept for a night cause the place was not as seen on the internet so decided to check out and guess what, the refused to refund the two night which was leave to and their reason was that after made the payment management have used the money to purchase power. In short the, its a horrible experience that I went through at Gya-son guest house. The place needs to be shut down because they use different picture for posting and when u get there it's a different thing...
