This had to be my worst experience at a hotel in Ghana. The place is very beautiful when you enter, but looks are definitely deceiving. There is a water issue for one that is very serious. The water comes out yellow 50% of the time. I got sick from mothballs in my fridge they said was camphor… Contaminated all my food. The receptionist asked my 7 year old daughter very personal questions about our family when I sent her down to pick something up for the room which I found very strange. The security was found asleep during the night on more than one occasion… I wouldn’t even mention that but feel I have to since the place was robbed by armed robbers with loud sounds of gunshots coming from right outside our windows. The management never even came to explain anything to the guests… my husband had to inquire the next day and they said they robbed the gold refinery, which is on the premises… and they told him they beefed up security and had police standing on guard… none of this was true. The very next night the guard was still asleep with the gate unlocked. I even had to walk down and leave my children in the room to open the gate for my husband because the guard was asleep at 1am ( I’m also 9 months pregnant) even though he was honking for over 15 minutes. The staff was mostly very rude to me… I’m not sure if it was because I was a foreigner or because I made these complaints to them. Management was slow acting and also very shady. We had an extended stay but had to leave because of these very reasons. My husband left with a tooth infection and the dentist told him it was because the water he’s been brushing his teeth with. We also developed skin rashes due to the water. Once we left we realized all these ailments stopped. If you don’t want any hospital bill and want respect and peace of mind, do not...
Read moreIts sad to give this hotel 3 stars but I have to. The landscape of this hotel is immaculate, the receptionist, caterers, and cleaners are amazing, food is awesome but...I am giving it 3 stars because of maintenance issues which I believe is from upper management. The rooms are spacious and clean but the bathrooms are leaky, no constant running water, there is a stench in the bathrooms, the some of the water closets are badly stained and many other maintenance and water issues in the bathroom. We were group and most people had to shower in other peoples room primarily because the water was not flowing in their rooms or their bathrooms leaked badly. The owner or whoever is in charge need to spend money to fix the issues like the leakage I believe is the cause of the bad smell in the corridors and stairs. If you stay here, make sure to get a clean bucket to fetch water at night when its running or early morning especially if you are upstairs or you will be stuck in the shower with soap on you and no water, true talk, happened...
Read moreOutwards looks good with flowers and beautiful plants garden. Reception staff ok, the area is not sarene. the rooms are not well kept. Water dampness is an issue on the walls and make the rooms stuffy. Wash room maintenance and tidiness is bad. Water discolour and sometimes not flowing. One can definitely not judge a book by its covers. Management needs to pay particular attention to the rooms management and change all the old furnitures and gadgets to keep up to the expectation of...
