Godville Guesthouse — Hotel in Greater Accra Region

The last time I reviewed this guesthouse, i rated them 3 stars & said they could do better.

If I could rate lower than 1 star, I probably will do.

The immediate environment of the place is literally a breeding ground for mosquitoes. They have a household just before the entrance of the guesthouse with a "water pond" collecting liquid household waste which is very unsightly.

To make matters worst, this guesthouse is literally also damping some of their liquid waste onto the unpaved road on the north-east side of the guesthouse as well as leaving that side overgrown with bushes which can harbor dangerous pests. It occurred to me that if the guesthouse cannot keep their environment clean then their cannot call their neighbour damping liquid household waste just before their entrance to order since they are breaking the same rules.

I drove there recently with the aim of spending the weekend but I couldn't stand the surrounding environment I had to o somewhere else.

Godville Guesthouse your immediate surroundings environment is terrible, clear the bushes, set up a drainage system & call your neighbour with the waste water pond to order or you would be putting all your client at high risk for getting malaria...

Was in this area for a family event, and were given the option of this guesthouse by family. We stayed around 8 nights, and were very comfortable here. The rooms have air-con, we had a huge bed and plenty of space.||||The grounds are beautifully decorated, nice open terraces to be on if you want to be outside, and it also feels secure here.||||The staff are lovely, always helpful and friendly, and a shout-out to Yaa in particular for looking after us! ||||There is a bar and restaurant here, but naturally because of covid that was shut, although the bar could be opened for takeaway drinks if you so wished.||||Really good experience of Ghana again, thanks to all at this...

The family of owners was extremely nice and welcoming. We liked the building and garden of the guesthouse. They picked us up from the airport - it was included in the price of the room. We also received 2 bottles of water and they made breakfast according to our needs.||||Owners gave us different room from the type we ordered. It was bigger, with (noisy) AC and of course, much more expensive. Our room was still awailable because we were the only guests in the hotel but they forced us to take this more expensive room. They also said bigger price for our reserved room than promised on this website. The property is very far from the centre. The taxi costs 70 - 150...
