The entire staff at Bigfoot lodge were incredibly helpful and welcoming. We were actually coming from Togo, and had both a difficult time finding the right border crossing and then getting across. Innocent from the lodge talked us through the directions to the lodge from Togo, and then came and assisted us with the crossing from Togo to Ghana. He assisted us in the various hikes we wanted to do, and every request we had, big and small, was easily taken care of. The rooms a clean and tidy, the food at the restaurant is tasty and affordable. While the lodge is 'in the city' the city is about two blocks and after nightfall, you'd not know you weren't in the middle of the country. Upon leaving, I was heading back to Togo and my friend was going to try to take a bus from Wli to Kumasi. Innocent drove with us to the main town, assisted my friend in getting a bus to a transfer town, spoke with the diver and asked him to assist him in getting the transfer, and negotiated the price. He got to Kumasi just fine. I can't say enough about this lodge, the amenities, the staff, and Innocent all make it a wonderful experience at a real budget price.

Worse service ever in my trip around Ghana. The lady who served from the restaurant was fine but the lady who took us to our room had a nasty attitude and made us feel unwanted. The bed in the room was well laid but upon closer inspection. the girl gave an attitude and although she eventually cleaned the room, she gave an attitude throughout our stay so we cut our stay short and moved to another better accomodation. Their staffs need to be trained properly. Also the entrance too bad. Accommodation is good but management and hospitality entirely wrong too much.

Lovely, came from Germany 20 years ago. The best place in the region but they don't present themselves good enough.

A simple yet fantastic place, a short(ish) walk from the spectacular Wli waterfalls. Big Foot is set in a lush and peaceful garden at the edge of the Wli Agorviefe village. We stayed in the larger cabins, which were very spacious and clean. Innocent, who runs the place, is a star. He really made us feel at home, as well as helping to organise all our activities on top of organising our transport from Accra to Big Foot. The food cooked by Portia is possibly the best food we had in Ghana - just delicious! I particularly enjoyed her Palava sauce with chicken and yams. Stay here! It’s fabulous. We stayed three nights and regretted not staying one more. The only tip for travellers, is that if you are a light sleeper like me I would bring ear plugs - while it’s quite remote and generally nice and quiet, the local “pub” sometimes played loud music in...
