Hotel Galaxias — Hotel in Almopia Municipality

The natural beauty of the area, the lovely scenery and therapeutic thermal baths of Pozar compensated for our stay in Galaxias Hotel at Loutraki of Aridaia. The Hotel unfortunately had an unexpectedly bad service. We stayed for a week. They never changed towels and sheets. They did not clean the room neither did they take away the garbage. We could never find the staff working there. There was no breakfast. The room by itself was O.K. It included a small kitchen. Thus we could prepare our breakfast by ourselves, as well as our lunch. We went out for dinner in the lovely tavernas and restaurants in the village of Loutraki, as well as the surrounding villages. In the village of Orma there is a lovely “plateia” i.e. square. We could listen to the clear waters murmuring around. We sat under the huge platans and enjoyed a very tasty and economical meal at the “Dionysos” restaurant. ||Almost every morning we walked for 2-3 hours in the lovely gorge of the “Thermopotamos” river. The variety of flora is amazing. We saw lots of cold-water cataracts and as close as one meter the hot water was springing up! We then went to the swimming pool for our thirty minutes therapeutic thermal bath. Very relaxing. There is also a climbing area for rope climbing fans. Everything at the foot of Kaimaktsalan or Vorras mountain....

I stayed in Galaxias hotel for 2 days for New years holidays and my impressions on this hotel is that it is a very average hotel..if not poor.Good thing is that the room was spacious and warm....and clean.On the poor side was that the TV set was way too small and all the programs were on Greek.......the reception service was almost non existent and the wi-fi was very similar as the service....almost non existent.Breakfast was very limited in food options and served in very small dining room.Lot of room for improvement there.Probably wont stay there if happens to visit this...

Μας ενημερωσαν πως το check in είναι στις 12:00, φτασαμε στο ξενοδοχείο 12:15 και η απάντηση της ιδιοκτήτριας ηταν "γιατί ήρθατε τόσο νωρίς; τι θα σας κάνω τώρα εγώ;" της είπαμε ότι θα μπορούσαμε να κάνουμε μια βόλτα και να επιστρέψουμε αν δεν είναι έτοιμα τα δωμάτια, εν τέλη εβγαλε άκρη και μας έδωσε κλειδια. Μόλις μπήκαμε στο δωμάτιο μου ήρθε έντονη μυρωδιά μούχλας, ανοίξαμε και αερίσαμε τον χώρο, έπειτα ανακαλύψαμε ότι δεν είχαμε θέρμανση και ζεστό νερό. Αναφέραμε στη ρεσεψιόν ότι δεν έχουμε θέρμανση και ζεστό νερό και μέχρι τις 7.30 το απόγευμα δεν είχε αλλάξει τιποτα. Επικοινωνήσαμε με τον άνθρωπο που μας έκλεισε το δωμάτιο, ενημερώσαμε για την κατάσταση και ο ίδιος πήγε στο ξενοδοχείο να λύσει το πρόβλημα. Μόλις ήρθε δια μαγείας, σε δευτερόλεπτα είχαμε θέρμανση και ζεστό νερό. Στην τουαλέτα μας ήταν χαλασμένο το καπάκι από την στιγμή που μπήκαμε και τα ποτήρια στα ντουλάπια ήταν βρώμικα. Το απόγευμα ήρθε φιλικό ζευγάρι το οποίο στο δωμάτιο βρήκε σκισμένες τις πετσέτες. Δε θα είναι επιλογή μου την επόμενη φορά και σίγουρα σε κανέναν δε...
