We stayed at the house for 3 nights, having booked what was described as a “villa” for 5 people. However, the 3 of us ended up in what felt more like a basement dungeon. The rooms were so small, no space to open 2 luggages so we moved the chairs outside, they had almost no natural light, the curtains kept falling of the wall. the doors were missing handles, and the bathroom door lock was broken. The bathroom itself was outdated and appeared quite dirty.||The towels provided were extremely worn out—so rough and dry they were uncomfortable to use. One of the bedrooms was part of an open-plan area with the kitchen, offering no privacy whatsoever. As a result, we couldn’t comfortably use either the kitchen or the living room.||Accessing the property was also a challenge, with a rough, unpaved uphill road leading to the house. At night, there was no outdoor lighting not even on the stairs making it completely pitch black and unsafe to move around.||Overall, this stay was incredibly disappointing. The property offers no amenities, no comfort, and certainly no value for money. The only redeeming quality was the view, but that alone does not justify the experience. I absolutely would not...
Read moreI read this interview from Sandrine Dumas on our last day in beautiful Another Island, holiday home. There is no greater way to express the word hospitallity or filoxenia that we felt the last couple of days in this unique place.||“ Greece has a deep tradition in hospitality. You see it every day even in the simplest of things. I remember my first summer in Greece following my mother’s death. Friends of mine and I went to a taverna in Aegina whose proprietor was once involved in the construction of our house there. When we finished our meal, his wife came up to me and asked me to follow her to their house, which was located nearby. When we arrived, she opened the fridge door, took out some fresh eggs and cool figs, put them in a small bag and offered them to me, saying: “For your mother. Because she gave us a job”. How can you not love a country with such people? This is pure courtesy. It’s generosity. It’s being human. This woman made me feel at home. And this feeling will forever remain intact. “||Thank you Philip and all the staff fro the amazing hospitality. What great memories...
Read moreThis place is heaven on earth, each morning you wake up so grateful to be there. It’s 100% silent with no noise or light pollution meaning you can just sit back, relax and suck in the wonders of nature, the view of magical Despotiko island, the skies full of stars and such a clear view of the milky way. It is just magical- I can’t find the words to describe the feeling I have when I am there. All the homes are so thoughtfully decorated, I love the style, it’s minimalistic but you have all you need. The lady who cleans the homes Niki is very friendly, she has broken English but she will get out of her ways to help. The client communication by Philip is fantastic with nonstop availability for any questions or issues one may have pre, during and post stay. Love at first sight and every other time I was lucky to stay at one of the homes. I will be back very soon and...
