Lorraine's Apartments — Hotel in Argostoli Municipality

One of the best places I have ever stayed at. There is no words in the entire world to describe how we liked this place. The villa is very pleasant and well-maintained, with a tastefully designed courtyard with a swimming pool, barbecue, and sunbeds. And, of course, there is a wonderful, incredible view of the surrounding area and the sunset from above. The room is well designed and includes all possible amenities—a kettle, toaster, coffee machine, full kitchen, and everything else. There is a large set of dishes, different types of glasses, a corkscrew, which are not usually found in other hotels. In addition to kitchen utensils, there is everything you need in terms of hygiene - three types of towels, including a separate beach towel, which are changed daily or on request. There is even micellar water for removing makeup. Upon arrival, the refrigerator was also full of food and drinks, so we didn't even have to go to the supermarket. If you can't find something in the room (which is unlikely), the hostess is always available and will help solve any problem. Evangelia is very friendly and helpful, offering advice and assistance with restaurant reservations, as well as any other questions regarding vacationing in Kefalonia. The location is good, with the village of Lourdata nearby, which has a nice beach and many restaurants and supermarkets. The island's capital, Argostoli, is only a 20-minute drive away, allowing you to go there for daily walks and breakfast or dinner. It takes longer to get to the other main attractions, but overall the island is small and you can get to almost anywhere within an hour. A special bonus to our stay were the cute kittens that lived nearby and constantly came to socialize. This is a place we really want to return to, and I think we will definitely come back next.

I would like to give a special mention to Lorraine's restaurant, which is owned by the same owners and is located nearby — it is definitely worth a visit. I rented one of the studios at Loraine’s for about a week with my partner and we had a pleasant experience. Evangelia was very helpful and made sure we had everything we needed and more. She was easy to communicate with over what’s app and responded to messages quickly. When we arrived, she greeted us and showed us the studio which had a kitchenette, toaster, washing machine and a great patio where I drank my tea every morning. She also provided us with bread, croissants, turkey, cheese, milk, and eggs. The studio was comfy and bigger than the average hotel room. The shower took a few minutes to warm up but you can adjust the pressure and there is plenty of hot water for long showers. If you like cats, there are some friendly neighborhood cats that will sit on your lap and let you pet them while you’re in the patio area. There’s also a pool that is shared between all of the studios. Whenever we had any requests, Evangelia was able to accommodate us. We were treated like family. The beach was about a 20-30 minute walk down hill or a ten minute drive. I definitely recommend to stay here if you are looking for a place...

Not only did my partner and I feel like valued guests at Lorraine’s Apartments—we truly felt like family. From my very first interaction with Evangelia online, she was a delight: so helpful, accommodating, and genuine. Meeting her in person felt like reconnecting with a friend. That same warmth extended to everyone we met—lovely Lorraine herself, as well as Argiro, Natalia, and Christoph.

The apartment was perfect for our needs: spacious, beautifully appointed, and spotlessly clean (thank you, Argiro!). The location was ideal too, with plenty of parking and just a short drive to Lourdas Beach and Lorraine’s wonderful restaurant and beach spots. We also loved stepping out to the beautiful pool—warm, inviting, and set against a spectacular view.
