Maison Hotel — Hotel in Chalkidona Municipality

A family friendly property with special attention to service and hospitality.||We booked a family room for four persons. The provided room was smaller compared to description. The owner George went an extra mile by providing us an additional room to accommodate the group to ensure our comfort and happiness.||The rooms are smaller and bathrooms old fashioned; but the furnitures are quite modern and new. The hotel was going thru renovation while we visited (preparing for summer 2022).||The breakfast was minimal but has sufficient variety. The a la carte menu in the restaurant had good choices of food. The price is reasonable and the quantity was much more for one person per plate. The pools are closed until mid-May.However poolside area and gardens were well maintained. ||There is enough parking space in front and back of hotel. Tora! Tora! Tora! I’m at the pool bar restaurant right now and it’s like a WW2 air warfare movie. The mosquitos are battle hardened, DEET resistant, and most of all thirsty for Irish blood. As I sit here I can hear the sound of other ‘no surrender’ diners slapping flesh in an effort to kill the little monsters. I smell like a chemistry experiment but it’s not working... The kids have killed 10 of them but they admit it’s like the battle of Midway Island and the enemy just keeps coming. The hotel’s not bad, the food is good and the staff are nice people. The rooms are modern and very functional too, But, wait a minute, another wave has moved in and I have to put my tin hat...

The place is outside of the city, it was approx 20 min walk but worth to stay here on our way. The staff were very kind and helpful. The room is very nice, clean and convenient, AC worked well and there was a fridge in the wardrobe also. but it was too loud.|Breakfast choice was good as a buffet, staff were very helpful also.|Good hotel for a stay on the way with parking and breakfast.|The fridge (minibar) at the room was very loud, we woke up many times during the night to this noise.|We arrived after 8 pm and we cannot use the pool as it was closed (even it was more than 35 degrees).
