We visited for a weekend in this spectacular location in the forest. It is an unbelievably beautiful location with many outdoor activities, from hiking, cycling, skiing, swimming, and leisurely walks. The staff was friendly and eager to help. We stayed in a large family cabin which can sleep up to 6 with 1 bathroom, living room/dining room with a kitchen. The kitchen had a kettle and a nespresso machine and a small fridge. The cabin was fine but I think it’s time some money is spent to revive the tired amenities of the cabin. |This is where I question the nightly price tag for the stay.|The television was old and had barely 3 channels with no USB ports which after a long day outside you may want to watch a movie in the evening with friends or family. There was a DVD player but really who uses those anymore... The fridge made a terrible racket it sounded like a spaceship was about to take off. No bottled water in the fridge. My question is why are the curtains short and not wide enough to cover the windows???? Each window had 1 curtain that barely made it from end to end so either way you tugged it the light came in, why not have 2 curtains for each window and it will do the job and will look nicer instead of something that looks like you’ve been stingy on the furnishings. A horrible shower curtain in the bathroom that stank. Is it really difficult to fix the toilet flusher?? Some decent lighting in the cabin... its dark and dingy and it’s stuck in the 80’s. |The breakfast was ok but what about having choices for vegans? E.g any non dairy milk substitutes etc...|The road in the complex had massive pot holes that even our jeep had difficulties.|Come on, you either need to revamp your resort of lower your price tag it feels a bit of a rip off you can’t just base it on the...
Read moreWhat a beautiful place to go to and relax for a short vacation although I could easily live in there forever 😀. Honestly, where do I start, the atmosphere - so warm, welcoming and calm that puts a smile to your face, the rooms - very clean and I personally liked that they had a couple of posters encouraging guests to be eco (👏), the restaurant - has to offer great food and beautiful views, The bar - I loved hanging out at the bar during the night, again GREAT ATMOSPHERE, special thanks to Florian that was the bartender that you would wish to meet at every bar you go, not only he recommended drinks and paired food with but beautiful sights and places to visit too, thanks again Flori, you are a superstar I hope I will see you again. The only thing that I was expecting to find in a high standard place like Elatos is and did not find was, variaty of premium beverages. ||In general, the service was exceptional, all members of stuff were extremely attentive at all times. I will definitely visit Elatos again in the future, a place that I can feel like home and experience the authenticity of...
Read moreWe stayed in early June. It was not busy as out of season which is a shame as this is a fantastic time and place to stay in the mountains.||The staff are friendly and helpful.||The chalet was very comfortable, clean and well equipped. The design and finish of the chalets is very impressive.||The main building has a very comfortable lounge, dining room and terrace. The views are wonderful. ||We enjoyed the food and there is a good wine list. Breakfast was a joy and set us up for the days activities.||There are some good walks in the area but the hotel could perhaps have some more literature and information for these.||The indoor swimming pool is a good size and is very light and airy . We swam every day.||The nearby village of Eptalofos is very picturesque and has some good restaurants.||The Greek tourist board really should promote the mountains as a summer destination as they have so much to offer.||We...
