Livadi Suites — Hotel in Distomo-Arachova-Antikyra Municipality

We found this place by chance. Something made me drive up and ask if they had anything available.||||We were lucky as there had just been a cancellation. The owners have amazingly good energy and take pride in what they do. With a perfect locally-sourced breakfast and meticulously clean room, it met all our needs and more.||||We lit the big fire in our room at night and relaxed the night away. CHEAPER than Arachova, but there are trade-offs. Livadi was a ghost town when we visited in mid-April, with only a couple of mediocre restaurants. Arachova has much better dining options, but guests have to drive back up to Livadi before sundown, as the road is not lit. ||||ROOM was clean but chilly even in Spring and with the single heater going. Firewood is free. Expect to use it. The decor is "holiday home" - looks better than it is. The flooring is not hard wood, but lookalike material, for example. Fine for a short stay, but not luxurious. ||||SERVICE is not 24/7. The owner, Yannis, is not always on site. He is friendly and very chill. ||||BREAKFAST was satisfying - coffee, bacon, cheddar and eggs to order, as well as an assortment of pastries. ||||LOCATION is directly opposite one of the better ski and snowboard rental shops (look for red flags). AMAZING PLACE! For the beginning the area is extremely beautiful itself + the location is just perfect. It's very peaceful but at the same time surrounded by good taverns, nice coffee places, bars. It's very convenient if you want to enjoy the ski resort and be close to it. Breakfast is a dream! The best breakfast we had ever, no doubt. Everything is homemade and fresh! We couldn't stop eating :) Room was very-very comfortable with everything we needed. All furniture is new, bed, pillows, bed linen - all was fantastic. And fireplace of course ❤️ Dafni and Giannis are the heart of this place, they made our staying so warm and welcome! Great guys!
