Booked a room after reading comments here. Booking was made more than one month in advance for the part of our holiday in Ikaria for one week. Got a very small room at the back of the hotel where a door opens to ground floor. No air conditioner in the room. Very noisy ventilator and fridge. Only way to ventilate the room is opening the door but then you are exposed to mosquitoes and all kind of flies/bugs. On top of that, since the door is opening to the ground level, once it is opened at night it does not give any secure feeling. So choose being cooked or being alert and hunting flies/mosquitoes at night.||||Wanted to change the room but hotel was full and did not see much friendly response from the staff. Only in return they give me anti-mosquito tablet. I do not understand why it was not in the room in first place. ||||Other problems :||- Very nice view from hotel but its location is not so convenient unless you have car||- So much noise at night in the hotel. Mostly by staff. Phone at reception was ringing every night and the guy who is picking the phone was shouting quite hard.||- Not so friendly staff.||||Have spent around 15 days in Chios, Ikaria and Samos. This was the worst and most expensive hotel. Changed the booking via Hotels.com by paying one night penalty (stayed in Ikaria shorter than planned. I did not regret doing so. Next hotel in Samos was half price and double room space with air...
Read moreIf you're looking for a hotel that offers all the necessary amenities with an unbeatable view, look no further. Nestled in the side of a valley, this charming family-run hotel provides stunning views and a true taste of Greek hospitality. Staying here feels like visiting a family home. The owner’s passion for his work shines through in his personal attention to each guest, helping to plan daily excursions, offer tips, and suggest routes.
Rooms have old decoration but are always clean, with a/c, TV and a smal fridge.
Breakfast is decent, with the owner's wife greeting guests warmly and ensuring you have everything you need to start your day. You can even take your tray to enjoy breakfast on your own balcony.
You definitively need a car to move around and there are limited parking spaces.
We stayed for nearly six days, and while we had to leave some sights unseen, our experience was unforgettable. We’ll definitely be returning and highly recommend this hotel for an...
Read moreI stayed in the hotel in August of 2013 and it remains the worst hotel experience ever. The owners were behaving as if they didn't want to host us, were awfully rude and not helpul at all. We were extra charhed for an air-conditioner which proved to be a huge portable unit that you cannot use because of the noise it makes (of course we were not warned about it). However, the owners would not accept to remove the unit and charge us the standard room price. Not to mention that the standard price is already ridiculously high for those rooms. They are tiny and with very old furniture. Also tiny is the parking space which makes it very hard to park if the hotel is full. Last but not least, the cleaning service was unaccpetable, which means that the bathroom was dirty when we arrived and we had to ask for clean towels every 2 days as they "forgot" to change them. Of course we tried to move to another hotel but they were all full...
