Golden Suites & Spa — Hotel in Ioannina Municipality

I recently had the privilege of staying at "Golden Suites & Spa " hotel with my wife on our way to the north, what can only be described as an exceptional hotel,

where every moment felt like a glimpse into a world of pure luxury and unparalleled service. From the moment I arrived until the moment I reluctantly checked out, my experience at this hotel surpassed all expectations and left an indelible mark on my memory. the staff's commitment to delivering a flawless guest experience was truly remarkable. Every member of the hotel's team exuded warmth, professionalism, and an unwavering dedication to ensuring my comfort. From the doormen who greeted me with genuine smiles to the receptionists who expedited my check-in seamlessly, the level of hospitality was second to none. The genuine care and attentiveness of the staff made me feel like an esteemed guest throughout my entire stay.

I made the mistake of booking only one night at the Golden Suites and Spa - both the hotel and Ioannina deserved more time.

This fantastic little hotel is located just outside Ioannina's main city, about a 10 minute drive away. Having a rental car is perfect, as parking in the central area can be tricky.

The lobby and outdoor pool area are just beautiful and so relaxing. I booked a large suite and was happily upgraded to an even more spacious room. The suite was immaculately maintained with a gorgeous view over the pool - perfect for my travel companions and I.

We loved using the excellent pool and petite gym for a few hours before heading into town to explore.

The best part was the phenomenal service. Eleni in particular went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable.

If you're traveling by car, you should absolutely consider the Golden Suites and Spa. It's an excellent choice when visiting Ioannina and the surrounding region. I only wish I had booked more than one night to fully experience this lovely...

Staff is very friendly and very accommodating. The surrounding area is quiet and there's an express market a walking distance.

We had the superior suite with a pool and unfortunately this was the worst value for money I have ever had. The rooms are super small (a suitcase on the floor leaves you barley enough room to walk by). There's no fresh air in the room and no ventilation - you can open the door but there are lots of insects outside and there's no insect net. We asked the staff if we could turn on the AC but we were told it's turned off (May 2023). The toilet seat was broken - which is something a cleaning lady would notice upon cleaning so I assume they just decided to "ignore" this fact. We did not intend in using the pool but it's worth mentioning it was not clean (insects, residues on pool bed).

The breakfast was OK. I would suggest the use of real eggs for the omlette rather tyan using the industrial egg solutions hotels...
