Limnaio — Hotel in Irakleia Municipality

The hotel is super local, no other hotel in the immediate region.||The building is well equiped and the rooms are spacious and have all the necessary items. Wifi connection is pretty ok, especailly for such a remote town.||Breakfast is good, they have some bread, cereals, fresh mades ham and cheese toast, eggs, local spniach pie or sweet cream pie, fruit, nuts, freshly baked cake... Really nice.|There is a coffee machine (with beans) and you can also get tea, juices, hot chocolate.||The rooms are old fashioned but ok. The bathroom is ok, maybe 1 item is that the shower space is pretty small and only has a shower curtain.||Heating and/or arco is working very well.||At the opposite of the street there is the local supermarket where you can also get everything you want and at the other side a very nice pastry shop. I stayed here for 3 nights with photo buddies.|The accommodation was clean, very comfortable and room had a double bed and was roomy. I was a single occupant.|As this was a bird photography trip so we were out very early before sun rise and back well after sun set and dinner.|So the brunch provided mid morning was an important meal. Mikos and his team provided a very healthy brunch with Greek yogurt and toppings, meats/cheese, fruits, breads with spreads, cereal, eggs(cooked differently each day) and sweet pastries. I traveled from Germany and stayed here for five days to photograph the pelicans. The people were so nice and warm, they provided delicious breakfast and organized the boat trips so well. Vasillis who did the boat trip with me was a very nice person and gave a lot of information about the place and the birds. Nikos arranged everything perfectly and the trip to Kerkini was a wonderful memory and an overwhelming experience. This is the first time I write a review completely out of my heart without no regrets. Will definitely stay here if I get back to Kerkini anytime.
